... so many people rooting for someone to fail as much as I've seen the last two days with regard to Tebow. I mean, okay, he isn't prototypical under center drop back QB and his delivery is too slow. Maybe someone wants to run shotgun? Maybe he needs training for that scheme. Maybe his throwing motion is inefficient and needs work.

Tell you what: okay, he's terrible. No chance in the NFL.

It is sad that so many people are practically giddy that he's having a rough time. He's not done anything wrong other than beat a lot of teams (including yours) and for that people seem to be taking delight in this and I just think that's pathetic.

Let him succeed or fail, but don't stand there clapping if it doesn't work out for the guy.

Suck it. The nation has had to listen to this Bible thumping rube pontificate for three solid years. We've seen his speeches treated like they were The Sermon On The Mount. We've watched him Gator Chop like he was The Man after riding his defense to a National Championship last year. We watched him be invited to the Heisman ceremony this year when he wasn't one of the 20 best players in the country. Now, we get to see him make a fool of himself. I am going to enjoy it immensely.

The fact that he is a gator......well, that just seals the deal.

I agree with this...

and pretty much this...

and also this.

I'll try not to make it a habbit of agreeing with you LG, but pulling for a guy to fail because he's made relatively good decisions, stayed out of trouble, and is a far better role model than most kids playing college football just doesn't seem to add up in my book.

Take every chance you get at sanctimony. It looks awful on you, but knock your bad self out.

I'll be waiting for your post on Joel Osteen.

I think people were just tired about hearing Tebow this Tebow that in the news and now it's "Tebow isn't perfect." I don't necessarily want to see him fail, but all the news around Tebow was annoying and these new developments are refreshing to a lot of people I guess.

I believe that VN has a new "Word of the Day".
The "S" word has been thrown out at least twice today. I like it.

Seeing people on a Vol board root against a Gator. What is the world coming to? The things you see these days.

What is even better, a gator troll calling us out for it like we are his little law clerks or something.

Other than his post-Ole Miss game speech, I really don't recall the guy having "speeches." Especially not for someone with as much media he has had.

I understand your lack of respect for his religious views. You've been consistent about that and I know where you are coming from.

We finally have a player less focused on NFL millions and more interested in playing the game with the enthusiasm we did when we were 12 years old. Enjoying him "making a fool of himself," as you put it, says a lot more about the absence of character in you than the absence of talent in him.

What? You going to take my current one?

Just ask. I help the needy.

Remember that weird, manufactured, hyperintense Varsity Blues ripoff halftime speech?

I don't wish the guy bad luck at all; in fact I actually hope he makes it. I also probably share many of his religious views but I've got to tell you, every time he opens his mouth, my cheeseball detector goes off.

That's LG. Better than you("You" as in everyone).

I can see how you would get that impression. Its not that I perceive myself as "better" as much as more intellectually honest.

But, I imagine that if you routinely visited a Gator fan site and posted, you would have the same problem.

Berating them by accusing them of being needy for the attention, informing them how wrong and hypocritical they are for being needy, and refusing to believe that they are actually needy is not helping.

Your bullshiz in the politics forum is the most intellectually dishonest crap on this site. Then, you back that up by touting your intellectual honesty regarding your favorite player.

Re-reading that, I now get the joke. I thought you were serious for a moment there. Nevermind.

It's easy not to focus on NFL millions when you're not talented enough to make them. If you are naive or mentally deficient enough to buy Saint Timothy's act, have it. Me, I'm just hoping the goof gets drafted by someone who has a preseason game with Baltimore. That's the only time he's going to see the field and I really want to see Ray Ray or E Reed detonate that clown once before he permanently heads to The Phillipines to cut on young boys' genetalia.

You know what? Mine does, too. Not as much as yours, probably, but some. I guess my expectations about how someone his age and in his shoes would deal with it are different. And, if he's a little self-righteous I figure that's better than being a complete braggart A-hole, you know?

No. I'm quite certain if I visited a Gator message board that I would be better than everyone there. Complete intellectual honesty there.
