Yeah, I really hate that for CJ. At the same time though, it wouldn't suprise me a bit if the coaches were using this as a ploy to push everyone. To me, the worst case scenario would be one of the freshman starting with CJ as the #2. The freshman falls on his face, then CJ goes in.

Personally I think this is great! As an ND fan this gives us a major advantage playing Tenn. The biggest weakness ND has is its secondary, and a freshman QB can be easily confused by alignments and shifts by the defense. Keep up the good work Tennesse and see you in November. C.J. had plenty of time to take the lead, if he had made any impression at all on the coaching staff we would already have two red-shirt freshmen. I think he has a lot of class (much more than his brother) by volunteering to move to safety ( anything to help the team) . Maybe if Banks had that same kind of fortitude he would not have been showing his :censored: in the offseason and we could be looking forward to some memorable plays against the gators again this year.
