Most coaches can’t say anything without being fined, etc. it’s Tuesday. Did I miss the fine and reprimand of Kirby this week?

If pushing the opposing QB in front of 2 refs and all of the reckless driving arrests dont get punished, then why should the SEC follow precedent that they established with Kiffin x2 for questioning refs...

Frank Martin (SC BB), Ben Howland (MSU BB) and Urban Meyer were also fined.

I will always remember Heupels moment of silence after being asked about officiating.

Probably, since Saban has retired, he’s the most successful coach and thus the leader. Had he ranted and raved, it would be different but, the way he stated what he did the way he did it, they won’t bother him.

It was very similar to how he handled the question after their bowl game against Florida State.

A fine just keeps the story going, and the SEC is ready to let it go. Kirby clarified his comments after the game with some “I’m not criticizing the refs” window dressing, and I bet it stops there.

Has a reporter asked Sankey why they didn’t fine Kirby for criticizing refs? Kirby can try and take it back but you really can’t after you said it on national tv. Lots of chance for a follow up story by a reporter to a weird penalty situation that got national news.

I think that reversing of a non-reviewable call was so bizarre and questionable that it allowed Kirby more leeway for the criticism than someone would normally get. I mean, I've never seen that in 5 decades of watching college football. Immediately after the game it was the conference that was on the defensive not Georgia/Kirby. To be clear, I think the initial call of pass interference was a bad call, but no way in hell should it have been reversed after their fans pitched a fit. That's a horrible, horrible precedent.
