Hopefully these Lady Vol gals will take their positive attitudes to LA and infect the rest of those prima donas...especially Ms Leslie...with a case of it.
None of them fit the thug character that the Sparks have been known to exude.
Personally I'll be a fan of all their teams in hopes they and the others from this draft class bring a surge of excitement & new interest to the WNBA so they have a place to play professionally here rather than going overseas.

And there are 3 former Lady Vols up in Seattle...Fluker, Robinson & Ely...as well as all the others scattered throughout the league.
And in particular Houston's own Michelle Snow.
Be a WNBA fan for the "off season" before football cranks back up

It's hard to be a fan of a sport when none of the games are televised.

Fluker was let go by Seattle last year in mid-season and it really upset the team at the time it happened. Ty was picked up by the Sparks, so that's another Lady Vol there unless she has been let go or traded.:good!:

No idea where you are going with that. On an unrelated note, I thought she did a pretty good job as a studio analyst on ESPN.

HDTV can be rough on Kara sometimes, but she does a good job. She was in a tough spot having to pick that game.

They have a contract with ESPN2, and sometimes Fox Sports carries "local" away games (NBA TV frequently picks up those feeds for other markets).
With the new team in Atlanta, maybe Knoxville will get more game broadcasts.

Anosike, not Bobbit, in my opinion--she's got MUCH more upside as a pro. Bobbit's got a lot of heart, but she didn't exactly tear up the college ranks as a PG--she's tiny and her assist numbers were very modest. Anosike, on the other hand, has a lot of UPSIDE IMO. Parker should have urged LA to take her, because she's a big athletic center who could have taken a lot of physical pressure off Parker inside, I think, enabling Parker to operate around the basket. Anosike is also finally--after four years--developing a little offensive confidence. Together, she and Parker make a formidable pair. Average pgs are easy to find, but no so athletic centers like NA.

She does some sideline/bench work (person who does interviews?) for ESPN's NBA coverage.

Anosike may have more upside, but the Sparks already have Lisa Leslie as their center, who's arguably the best player in the wnba. They also have a lady by the name of Taj Mcwilliams-Franklin who is a pretty good center. Even though Leslis is getting older, and coming off a missed seaosn due to maternity leave, I seriously doubt that anyone in the wnba will have a frontcourt duo like the Sparks now have.

How can you pick against your alma mater in the Nat'l Championship? How can you pick against your team? No one and I mean no one would blame her for picking her team to win or think that she was biased. How could they? Pat Summit best coach ever/ Candace Parker-best player ever. Defending Nat'l Champs. IMO she was jealous and didn't want them to win. Pat said something about it in the post game ints.

She's not paid to be biased. She's paid to analyze. Did you watch how Tennessee played LSU and Texas A&M? Those games were pretty bad. Did you watch Stanford handle Maryland and UCONN? No one should blame her for picking Stanford.

And this is another thing that gets me. I have seen/heard quite a few people saying, "Pat said something about it in the postgame interviews," or, "Candace Parker's postgame comments about the experts picking against us were all about Lawson." That is such a load of crap. How many experts were picking Stanford? ALMOST ALL OF THEM. I may have seen 2 people picking UT. To claim that postgame comments were specifically targeting Kara Lawson is a joke. And if Summitt was upset at Lawson for picking Stanford, then I've just lost some respect for her, because she's mature enough to realize that Lawson was just doing her job and picking who she thought would win the game.

Really, Kara Lawson was in a no win situation. If she picks Stanford, the UT people cry foul. If she picks UT, the Stanford people cry blind homerism. The next time she's asked to talk about a Lady Vol game, she should probably just recuse herself.

I think Bobbitt's spunk is what really turns up Parkers energy when they're on the court together. They seem to feed each others FIRE. Sort of a Mutt and Jeff team. Well that's about the long and short of it.

who cares about the WNBA measly salary if her agent is negotiating with Nike, Adidas and Gatorade?

"Aaron Goodwin, the agent who signed LeBron James and Sonics rookie Kevin Durant, looks as if he'll skip the NBA draft this year and focus on Parker. Negotiations are expected to begin with Gatorade, Nike and Adidas."

Not really, haven't you picked up on their system? When the Lady Vols play a good team, Kara always picks the other and then Stacey picks the Vols.

She just needs to take a page out of the Lou Holtz book. Pick Tennessee no matter how bad they may actually be.
