The fear has begun...
Orgeron...Living up to his word (Posted on 3/13/09 at 10:19 p.m.)
Well...that's why they brought him in and he talked the smack at his press conference. Orgeron is proving to be a solid closer. Once he's at TN a few years, watch out. I always detested him because of his outspoken dislike for LSU. When I heard LSU was in discussion with him it made me very uneasy. But it appears he backs up his recruiting smack with results. That's 2 5 star commitments he jacked from Miami and LSU. Miles and staff have their work cut out for them with his arse at Rocky Top. BeBe, Saban, and Miles in recruiting battles for years to come.

another one...

You forget that TN has a lot to offer - chance to play early for Brown and Janzen(a-hole) incredible fan base, resources, tradition, exposure -- I am thrilled that O is NOT at LSU and we'll have to fight him off in LA just like Mack Brown has to fight Les in TX. We'll win most of these battles for LA kids. LSU needs to concentrate more in MS

Wild Boy himself is coming to Lake Charles (Posted on 3/15/09 at 11:04 a.m.)
From today's American Press, a local newspaper:

"Tennessee Volunteers defensive line coach [Fat Head] Orgeron will be one of the featured speakers at the McNeese State coaching clinic Friday and Saturday.

The event which costs $40 per person, will be at the Best Western Richmond Suites and the Cowboy Room on the McNeese campus."

Obviously trying to solidify some kind of Lake Charles pipline to the shirtless wonders at Hillbilly High. Do you think he'll need a translator? We need some hecklers in the audience.

Also speaking are Destrahan coach Robicheaux and Barbe's Shaver.

and the response.....

somebody please meet this **** at the airport and turn his *** back around to the hills

The OP in that thread is getting hated on something fierce but what most of the posters (besides one) doesn't get his point about recruiting. They look at it as he's a closet UT fan and rooting for UT. He was wrong on one thing though, we haven't landed BB as of yet though but the OP thinks that we will.

I just have to laugh at those idiots. Les brains can get all of that loserana talent he wants, you still have to coach them. We had a coach with that problem, soon LSU will have the same problem. They'll be crying for the great sabanini in less than two years.

Have to agree with Cartervol on this one. Miles has squandered more talent at LSU during his tenure than Fulmer did in 16 years.

You're right. I like Richt a million times more than Miles but he isn't getting it done with all the talent they've had.

OTOH, I said before last season that it wasn't their year. Their OL just wasn't experienced enough to play at a championship level every week. I think they'll actually be a better team this year with a mature defense and OL. If they find a QB, they'll surprise those expecting UF to waltz through.

Been saying the same thing for months! I know many vol fans here have practically been penciling in a "W" by the Georgia game but don't be so sure. That is going to be a tough tough game!

I won't be "penciling" in any "W's" by any team until I see some play time. I hope that we have a better season than we did last year.

I agree with the previous posts. There are very few "easy wins" this year. I think a lot of the games are going to be nailbiters.

If our offense is not ranked over 100th this year we will be better,,,,, seriously, we should be much improved -- as long as we have a quarterback.

This morning on 680 the Fan in Atlanta, Chuck Oliver who happens to be a radio show host told of how he visited UT for spring practice on Friday. He interviewed Kiffin and came out of the meeting saying that when it comes to negative recruiting in the SEC, most of it these days is coming out of Baton Rouge and Les Miles. FWIW I don't believe it, especially if that info came from Kiffin and /or Orgeron. Young Kiffin is barking up the wrong tree.

this was on the LSU board

Kiffin is just an immature little boy, and he will always never take the high road. The negative recruiting comment is pretty funny, it makes we wonder if Bryce will sign here. Why else would they bring LSU into the talk. If he was UT bound, who cares if we neg recruit. I also know, Miles is a classy and legit recruiter. LSU does not need to lie to get kids to come here

if this doesnt make you laugh, nothing will
