I thought I was going to have a good night of basketball watching the Duke-Wake Forest game, but instead they would rather show predators pregame. :banghead2:

Im getting the same thing as you are. They will show the UCLA vs USC game, at least here in Memphis.

I feel you, a couple times last year and once this year a Tennessee basketball game has been cut-off midway due to a friggen Carolina Hurricanes games coming on FSN South in my area.

I don't really hate the preds, I just hate how much media coverage they get around here.

i have never seen a single piece of Predators apparel or any other sort of hockey merchandise in UET, yet I got stuck with the preds game too. No big loss, I would've been pissed watching Duke lose and it gave some free time to apply for some new jobs.

It was on Sports South.

up here it comes on as the game of the week on FSN. It even gets the commercials, but then the preds come on instead. I watched the end of one of the preds games and it went straight into regular programming.

I'm from Murfreesboro, 20 minutes from Nashville. It is amazing how much attention hockey gets now in Nashville.

That statement makes you a fool.

Yes it does.

think of nobody more in terms of there are far more people who don't care about the Predators than do. if this was not the case, the franchise wouldn't have had any of the issues with moving/selling/attendance that it did.

it wasn't until last year or so that you could walk into the arena for a Red Wings game and not see an equal number of fans for both teams.

i'd probably be willing to bet there were as many people in Nashville interested in the Duke/Wake game than the Predators game.

If we go by your logic we could also say that most people in Nashville don't care about the Titans! Some people just aren't sports fans. This isn't a traditional hockey market but if you learn the game you would be surprised! If contact sports are your thing.

have the Titans almost moved because nobody (again, a general term) went to the games and they couldn't secure enough corporate sponsorship? face it, it's just not as popular as the fans who do go to the games want you to believe that it is.

i've been watching hockey since before i cam remember. i understand the game.

The average fan has not been the problem. The issue has been with the high dollar seats. We have not had enough support from the corporate side and that was the main problem with attendance. Maybe it is not popular enough for your taste but in Nashville it is more popular than you think!

Agreed. I would also like to add that I am not a big hockey guy until the playoffs, but I hate the fact that everytime it is gameday for the preds on my way home I cannot find any sports talk on the radio unrelated to hockey. It kinda sucks.
