Im sick of this series, the books the movies. Vampire lore is so played out. I really didn't even give it a second thought because i thought it was just a teenage girl craze but my gf read all the books and keeps making me watch trailers of the new movie.
Seriously, how many different trailers of the same crap movie can you have?My ex was big into the Harry Potter craze, i can handle that, but this beast of lame is just too much..
sorry had to vent..

Yeah, you're not the only one. Any movie where vampires fly around, are playing baseball like that, and are that dramatic should just never be shown again. Will never be seeing another one to find out if they can top that with something even more stupid.

I will watch it.... However, I do not beleive it to be within my realm of precipitous viewing pleasure....By choice and by sedimentary infusion. I felt the same about the first one!

I read every book. I resisted it for months because all the 20 something girls in my office were reading them.

If you haven't read one, you really can't comment. The writer is amazing. And if you've ever read any kind of science fiction or horror or fantasy books, then you can't put these down purely because they are about vampires. These books rank up there with the best as far as writing is concerned.

Feel free to comment on the movies all you want. My sister made me watch the dvd when the first one came out. It sucked. Like all great books, the movie didn't come close.

i'm not necessarily saying anything about the books. i've got family members that read them and they think they are excellent. but i actually gave the last movie a look earlier in the year since they wanted me to see it with them and i thought it was pretty terrible for the most part. everything from the sparkling vampires to that hokey baseball game was just ridiculously cheesy. add to that some bad acting and it just made for a horrible movie.........and from what i've seen of the new moon trailer, it looks like it will be that much worse.

Well, without reading the book you can't understand why the ballgame makes sense. If you've seen one of the books you realize there is a LOT to the storyline. That's what makes her writing so impressive to me....the way she weaves the plot. You couldn't possibly catch it all in a movie. (I've started twice to try to type out why the baseball game makes sense but stopped, cause it was take to long and it's not really worth it, lol.)

Volly has a good point, btw thanks for turning this thread into an episode of The View.

I havent read any of the books so i have no right to judge the quality of the author, im simply going on the movie and the hype surrounding the next movie, it makes me want to stick a ice pick in my eyes.

Let me go on record as saying there's at least one female out there that doesn't like this series. I saw the first movie and thought it was ridiculous. The lead actor looks like he's ready for detox in rehab. He's not hot at all. I guess you have to be a teenager girl.

I'm a female and I said I hated the movie as well.

The books however, rocked.
