OP you have to watch the documentary on the 98 season if you haven't already. There is a guy on YouTube that has posted them yankeefanintn I think is his screen name. You have only known pain as a UT fan except for Saturday if you have only been a fan since 2011.

Why not jump on one of the many bandwagons that are currently available (Oregon, Bama, OSU..etc)

You need to make it to Knoxville some time. Probably plenty of locals who would show you town right. Come in the fall for the games, the fall colors, and the temperatures.Be ready to scream, drink, and put away some southern food!

This is incorrect. You can't call being hit in the armpit blocking a ball. Cody deserves zero credit for that play, and it urks me everytime I hear him getting credit for it.

I think Florida or Bama next year is my target. If not I will think again. It all depends on schedules because it's so expensive just to get to the states that I will only go if I can catch another game of another sport nearby.

I decided I would most likely go for Wisconsin because of my many friends who support them, so I spent a lot of the summer of 2011 researching them. But it all changed at a family wedding a few weeks before the season started. At the wedding a few Americans who were there got chatting to me for hours and hours about US sport. It just so happens that one of them is a massive Vols fan who graduated from UT - and when he found out I was searching for a team he spent hours telling me about the traditions at UT and inspired me to research them. I had never considered UT, partly because I had never heard of them....

So the next day I went home and watched the 2010 game against Kentucky on the SEC website. It was a pretty good game from what I remember, so I decided to stick with them going into the season. I then found this forum after the first week of the season, read it for the September month to get an idea of what the fan base was like - I joined that October and the rest is history. The Vols are now my favourite team.

What's even better, and amazing at the same time, is that you became a fan when we were in our "down" years. My hat's off to you, and glad you're a Vol fan!!
