Offended?...on here?....seriously?:think_not::shades:

Cool.

Anyway, Stephenk24 from Britian, as you can see from this thread, we here at Vol Nation are a humble, polite and down to earth group and I hope you can tell us stories of how you "enlightened " your friends from Europe to join Vol Nation.

When we played them in 2009, we had the chance to kick the game winning field goal. They had a massive man, nickname was Mount Cody, and he blocked the ball.

Then he yanked his helmet off and should've have a penalty but that was several years ago and I don't think about it anymore. :banghead2:

He blocked 2 and I still haven't been able stop thinking about it. What's the trick? Hypnosis or something similar? I've tried everything else. And it wasn't so much that he blocked the fg's...our kicker just didn't get any elevation on the ball. We kicked right into the line. Didn't he have a pulled hamstring or something. Anyway I do believe the curse is gone finally!

Great Post. Welcome to the program. Most of us have been in deep apathy since before you became a fan. You describe the exact feelings just returning to my life. We finally have a coach that's turning it around. I feel like we will beat them by one in a game of a lifetime.

Thanks man. I certainly hope you are right about the outcome on Saturday. I can't even describe how happy I would be! Even though that may sound a bit selfish because of my situation as a fan.

I think Florida or Bama next year is my target. If not I will think again. It all depends on schedules because it's so expensive just to get to the states that I will only go if I can catch another game of another sport nearby.

If you ever get here for a game, you may decide to just send fro your things and never leave Knoxville again. So if you're not prepared to make a move, I would just stay there until you're ready to just stay here. :hi:

First of all, YES , I did actually read the post with a British accent and didn't even realize I had done it until that question was posed. Weird, huh?

Secondly, I had a buddy that I worked with back in the 80s that was British. Another friend of mine and I would always throw parties on gameday and watch the Vols. We were recent transplants to SC at the time. Lots of people would come to eat our ribs off the grill, etc. Anyway, our Brit Buddy learned the game of football over those 5-6 years of hanging with us. One of the most satisfying experiences over the years because he was in the midst of all these Carolina and Clemson fans but became a die-hard Vol.

He loved to yell , "RUN, MY SON!!!" in that great accent whenever our guys would break into the open field! ...and that has become one of my favorite things to say til this day while watching the Big Orange.

It was a strange mascot.. an elephant with 2 trunks and used one of them to block it.

Seriously? How can I ever repay you though?

Do it. Buy me a beer when you attend your first game, wearing a well worn, tattered shirt I sent you. Tn Vol evangelism.... Everybody's doing it

Edit.. Followed you on twitter , not an expert on it. Don't know how to send a private message
