I played basketball with a kid in 8th grade that was the best player in the city, he was bigger, faster, stronger than everybody and everyone thought he was going to a high Division 1 school, but by the 10th, 11th grade everyone caught up to him in height, strength, and speed and he ended up playing at NAIA level. Be careful about making your buddy out to be the next great UT QB.

Hey, when I was in the 8th grade our quarterback could play like that. He wasn't to much bigger than anyone else, maybe 5'7" or 5'8". Of course he had failed 4 previous grades, was 16, and had his own car. We were undefeated that year. He could have been great if he hadn't maxed out at 5'10" and dropped out when he he was an 18 yr old freshman in high school. Oh what could have been.

This is the effect of a long slow summer. The season can't start soon enough.

Two questions...

Does he have a problem with worms?

Does he cuss?
