Anyone who thinks we matched up with mizzou well. There is a lot of knowledge about football on this board. But who ever thought we matched up well obviously doesn't understand the game

Last week was especially embarrassing for this place. The overwelming vibe was zero respect for Missouri, almost a certain win for us, and expectations put on Dobbs he had almost no chance of meeting.

And now some that were so high and mighty before are flipping out.

I thought and think our defensive backs and LBs are better than they played the last two games. They looked more confused and less confident than they should.

I know we all want to be a top program again, but we can't let that cloud over all the steps it takes to get there. The fan base wants it so bad and it screws up our judgment. Mizzou is a good team and Bama is a great team. We are getting there.

My bad. I thought the team that played Georgia and beat South Carolina would show up. I guess I'm gonna have to guard the bus to see who gets on it. :eek:k:

Looked like a Sunseri D to me.

Dobbs showed potential but pretty much performed as expected give the circumstance.

Tiny just got another false start.

Too many Vol Nation fans let their emotion win over versus logic and common sense. Missouri is a 20 yard FG away from a perfect season thus far. They beat GA and FLA. Then, all their excuses come reigning in- GA and FLA had this person and that person hurt, blah,blah, blah. The Big Orange will rise to the top again.Our season hinges on a game versus Vandy and hopefully another victory the next week versus KY.
PS- The same people will be posting this week how we match up well against AU. They just can't help themselves.

That team also played at home with QB who could manage the offense enought to keep the defense off of the field.

Agree. I pulled up ole miss' schedule from last year (6-6 and a bowl win) and noticed they stayed on track with recruiting. We have to stay true and help support this team.

With such a young team, inconsistency is common. I just can't see why the O-line and D-line struggle so much.

Especially with a potential 1st rounder in Tiny and all of their experience on the O Line. McCullers is supposed to be a 1st rounder as well. I see potential in the young guys and I sure wish Lawson would have come our way.

Was the mizzou freshman QB better than our freshman QB or was his supporting cast better? Just stating the obvious. :question:

That's just it. The team played out of their heads in both of those games. That's not gonna happen every week. We're still on track to get to a bowl, which is where most of us thought we would be.

Just kind of makes you wonder what the hell Dooley was thinking. I think he went out and found about the slowest guys he could and offered them scholarships. Damn i would have took undersized guys with speed over these big lumbering guys we have.. Dooley tried to make a poor man's version of Bama. We're seeing the results of it.
