It seems to me that any time UT is already a lock for the Dance, they don't win the championship game (if they are in it). Does the SEC winner get an automatic bid?

The winner of every conference's championship game gets an automatic bid. But, we're in regardless with our record and SOS.

Yes, the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament is the winner of the conference tournament. That's how Georgia got in last year. Where have you been lately, stranger? We miss ya.

However, the Vols haven't been the SEC Championship game since 1991. I think was also the last season they won 2 games in the tournament. The Vols were 9-21 entering the tournament that season.

How deep into the NCAA tournament will the Vols go?
Are they good enough to make the "sweet 16?"

Yeah, the inexperience in key rolls keeps finding a way to rear it's ugly head. I feel they are really gelling and FINALLY may be playing their best ball at the right time, but laying an egg won't really surprise me either.

Yeah I was about to post the same thing.

Of course this time there is actually something we are playing for. The Alabama game I guess was for better seeding maybe....but this one we actually win a "championship".

I agree. They are letting Prince slash, Chism and Tlyer do either inside or out, Hopson do what he does, Williams is crashing the boards, as well as the others. The next improvement would be for the three point shooters to follow their shot (for the rebounds) instead of breaking out for D. Let the Off man do that. Physic's tells you that if a man shoots short from a distant, Hitting the front facing part of the rim, the ball is coming back towards them, even with a round rim. That would have helped a lot against Bama, even tho we won.

Thought that toooooo. Till they laid down against Bama in the last regular season game. Short attention span....just stay hot VOLS. Surprise me and even win the championship and at least 2 games in the NCAA.
