and i loved to see it. (it's always great to have a typo in the subject line )

but as i watched the game i kept thinking... someone needs to have a very serious conversation with him about his NBA career. basically, at the rate he's going... he won't be drafted and he just won't make a roster.

you see flashes of his quickness and explosiveness off the dribble. i hope his game winner will give him some more confidence or something. i could certainly live with him taking 18-20 shots a game.

i dunno... this has been talked about a lot on the forum and no one has had any good ideas or suggestions about how to get him going. i mean this guys athletic ability blows Lofton's away... yet chris average 20+ his junior year. i just think scotty could have the kind of outside shot that a player like wayne ellington has... but then hopson has the size and explosiveness ellington will never have.

his demeanor is usually so down too... almost mopey most of the time. the only time i ever seen him really charged up was during the KU game. i just don't get it.

rant over.

You help get him going by playing the two man game with Chism, imo. Get him attacking, and then it seems that it all opens up for him. What Lofton averaged his Jr year is irrelevant. Hopson is averaging fairly close to what Lofton averaged his sophomore year while taking fewer shots.

I think he could definitely do a better job of going to the rim stronger. A lot of times he just flips it up there and seems like he is just afraid of the contact. But, he is the kind of player that if you piss him off or if he's really motivated, he's seems unstoppable. I think he can turn himself into a 1st round talent if he get's his mind in the right place.

i like the two man game. with hopson's potential you'd think he'd already surpassed lofton... given his athletic ability and size is in another world compared to lofton. i mean hopson was thought by many to be a 1 and done.

I have always thought he was a bit overrated and has a very low basketball I.Q. That being said, he is a tremendous athlete with a lot of upside. I hope he develops into a lottery pick.

If his "mind" catches up to his talent he will be scary. He is beginning to show flashes of potential a lot more often now and looked comfortable with the game in his hands. If he would only take it to the hoop more often they wouldn't guard him so closely at the 3 point line...:banghead2:

I think the reason we dont see Hopson being more aggresive has alot to do with his ball handling skills, someone needs to work with him on his dribbling.I have seen him lose the ball more times than I can count with him dribbling. He has NBA potential but if he doesnt inprove his ball handling he will be a average college player. If you dont believe me then just watch him the next few games and watch how much problems he has handling the ball.I still think he is an awesome player. He has the ability to take over any game at any time.
