I know it's off subject

Nope. 1.3 seconds exactly. And your own thread, in the proper forum absolutely can not be off subject.

That wasn't even slightly controversial IMO. You could clearly hear the whistle blow with 1+ second left.

The 2 pass interference calls were questionable. I'm not sure how much of a horse collar that dude had a hold of either...

I timed it twice and got it around 1.5. I like Texas I always have but it looked a little longethai me and I know what thread it should be on. I wanted more peoples opinion cause I know I'd get more opinions on this thread

It was a horse collar.

Nebraska shot themselves in the foot repeatedly in the final seconds of the game and gave it to Texas. That's all that happened.

Watching defenses that good get screwed over by totally incompetent offenses is about the most painful thing you can see in college football.

Nope. The ball was over the out of bounds line earlier than that, and had hit the ground and bounced on the ground out of bounds by the time the clock hit 1.

There was a sec left

but the clock should only stop on the refs signal right?

if that's true though, I don't see how you can justify that if an incomplete pass bounces out of bounds (off the ground even), time should still run off the clock even though the ball is out of play

time should run off the clock til the ref gives the stop clock signal.

well even if you go that way; i just saw a replay. When the ball bounced the whistles blew and then like 1/2 to a 1/4 of a second after that the clock ran off. You can hear the whistles blowing before the second ticks off

Big 12 came out saying that the conference rule book says that if the ball bounces off an object out of bounds, it is dead then and there. Look into that. (Smart rule if it's real).

Then too, these would have been the kind of things instant replay was designed to look at and fix.

finally found a video clip showing it. yep you are right! the :01 was still showing when i heard the whistle. so the other UT wins fair and square.

Mack Brown looked like an idiot for not snapping the ball quicker or calling a timeout and letting the clock almost run out. Even McCoy should have known better.
