I like this Pitt team

Pat Narduzzi has built a good culture there. Up 21-10 on Clemson in the 3rd. They’re showing how a team of 3* recruits can beat a team of 4*-5* recruits with culture and coaching. And good QB play.
Turns out that wasn’t a bad loss. We should’ve won but they aren’t a bad team. As I said back after they beat us, they’ll win at least 8.

They will likely win the ACC but go back and read all the negavols who stated “they were a terrible pitt team”
Oh I know. It got real loud after they lost to Western Michigan. It turns out that game was just an anomaly. There are some strange results this year and that was one of them. I love it though. This has been the best year in a long time as you never know what will happen each week.

The ACC is catastrophically bad this year and Pitt lost to Western Michigan the next week. We should have won the game. Heupel gets a pass because it’s year one, but it’s a loss we shouldn’t have and it really changes the way the season looks if we drop one to UK in a couple of weeks.

Pitt is good. We still should have beat them. I think we could beat Clemson this year. Think about that and how fast things can change one way or the other.

Clemson this year reminds me of us in 2005. That defense is elite. Arguably the best in the country.

That offense is god awful! Looks as bad as our offense last year!

I thought this too. They even had a solidified QB situation like we had after Clausen ended the 2004 season on fire.

I won’t be surprised if Dabo returns to playoff next year like this year didn’t happen.

Pickett is not as good as some want to believe. I like him though. What I cannot understand is how Clemson has gotten this bad. There is absolutely zero reasons for it. Clemson has recruited at or near OSU, Bama and UGA level. It might be time to start the convo of Dabo being overrated.

Some of our fans need some perspective. That was Game 2 under Heupel. Of course, things weren’t going to be all ironed out. The penalties and turnovers were symptomatic of that. But a lot has been figured out since then. Tennessee would beat Pitt and Clemson right now.

But even with 13 penalties, a 3-0 turnover deficit, Milton being the starter because we hadn’t figured out the QB situation and Hooker hadn’t come on yet, losing Small before the game and Evans in the first half, meaning we had to go with true freshman Wright the entire 2nd half, and a FG return for a TD called back…it still took a horrendous spot to keep Tennessee from tying it up at the end.

And yes, this Pitt team is good. The Western Michigan loss was obviously an anomaly.

Pickett is very good. I think he’s a R1 pick. Far more impressive than Zach Wilson was.

I'm still pissed we gave them that game.
