Switching to a 4 man front is not going to fix a lack of team speed and athleticism. If the three juniors leave, the offense will slip a little-the defense will have to get better fast. A big challenge for anyone.

Had a QB in the backfield sacked but nooooo > then the QB runs 15 yards for a 1st down. This is so frustrating to watch this stupid defense...it's beyond being mad.

There are quite a few issues with this defense, but it seems the powers to be are intent on starting Herman Lathers. Look, I know he's been through a ton and has worked hard to play this year, but his lateral movement and pass coverage are terrible. In the first half alone I have seen him burnt numerous times. Most of these issues stem from Lathers being caught out of position or confused on his coverage assignments. He has also botched a few tackles just trying to run into the defender. He may talk like a leader, but he doesn't play like one and I'm honestly tired of seeing him on the field. Here's to better luck next year...

Details, details, details
In the 4-3, it is a more balanced defense in that you don't have to rely on a nose tackle who must control the A gap on both sides of the center. With our lack of team speed and poor tackling, we can play a lot of cover 2, and soft cover 3 and 4 depending on formation and give our backers and d line a chance to make plays.
