This kid is special. You could see in his eyes Saturday how bad he wanted to be in the game. He wanted back in with two bad ankles, and CPF said that Ainge would lie to him and tell him he wasnt in pain. Is this kid a warrior or what.

There is no doubt that he will light up the board up next year. Can you imagine how good he will be with one more year under Cut.

Ainge is a VOL through and through.:salute:

I'm Tclowers23, and I approve this message.

LMAO!

I was glad to see Crompton get some plays under his belt. He stood tall in the pocket and delivered a couple of times. Nice to see depth at QB. Ainge will get back in and tear em' up next week.

I agree Erik is showing what kind of leader he is but I feel alot better about the future with what I saw in Crompton last nite.

I predict, based on JC's good performance, EA won't be back until he is completely healthy. That could be a couple of weeks.

Yeah I'm thinking Crompton. As long as the O-line continues to pass block like they did vs. LSU, it should take a lot of the pressure off Crompton. What is Arkansas' defense ranked in comparison to LSU?

their pass defense is nowhere near LSU's, and they lost one of their better pass rusher's against SC, or at least that is what one of my friends who is a diehard arkansas fan told me.

:good!: I totally agree with you! Ainge is pretty amazing, and I felt bad knowing he wanted to be in so badly. I absolutely adore him, however, I'm glad they had him remain on the side instead of putting him in to get injured even more than he already is. You could tell he was in a lot of pain. I was also glad to be able to see how well Crompton can play. I think he definitely made us all proud and left us feeling confident for the future.

special or not it sounds like EA lied to CPF, Cut and the trainers in order to get on the field. If UT could've scored off one of those throw away drives in the first quarter...???... I'm not saying he's a bad QB or shouldn't start if he's healthy. I just want to know why he didn't just say he wasn't ready to go. It was obvious from the first series.

I,like everyone else think Ainge is a great QB.I posted last night on the shots they were showing of Ainge on the sidelines and it looked to me like a kid feeling betrayed by Phil for not letting him back in the game.Every shot showed a young man sulking instead of pumping up the team and showing support.

I'll give EA the benefit of the doubt and hazard a guess that he thought he could do as well at 75% as Crompton @ 100%. I think he wanted another shot at LSU, too. Remember...er...nevermind. I never thought I'd hear myself saying it, but the boy's game.

Additionally, the check off that JC attempted last weekend had me (at least) a little nervous. I don't begrudge his being fired up, but I think he had a little Superman thing going on there before the INT.

Rocky Top.. you may have the greatest avatar of all time. I was on a personal ban of espn (except for games) until my neighbor had sportscenter on and i got to see erin andrews and rachel nichols back to back.. how can you say no to that? ps. I'm fired up about ainge next year, no matter who our receivers are

He was hitting the receivers right in the hands. He can't throw it and catch it too!!

I don't know about you, but I admire that in him. He was plenty healthy at the outset and quite frankly didn't get much help from his receivers or much protection from the offensive line.

Isn't it obvious to everyone that Robert Meachem is the MVP of this team? You stay classy volnation.

Ainge's definetly a different QB this year, but it was nice to see Crompton come fired up and ready to play.

I just hope Crompton's performance doesn't get in his head, and he starts making dumb mistakes.

I say he's still starts

Guys just imagine how good our offense can be next year. I know we will have to reload at receiver but Trooper can do it. Coker will have another year under his belt too.

We could be unstoppable next year.
