as a person. I think he is a good man. I respect him, and the way he has embraced this team. I love the way he has given these seniors his all, trying to instill a belief in them in themselves, and treating them with respect win or lose. Butch Jones is one class act whom I will support win or lose. I just bought tickets to the Auburn and Vanderbilt games for our family and several of our friends. I will support Butch Jones because of the man he is. He has a beautiful family, and I am praying he is able to successful here for their sakes. Some things are more important than wins or losses. I for one have decided to support and trust him. I am through second guessing, because I think he is actually rebuilding a program that has been decimated (self inflicted death penalty). I am going to be there cheering, doing my part to hopefully help team 117 be the first of a long line of Vol teams making a bowl appearance! Go Vols!

When asked in his presser if it was frustrating having a solid scheme in place and just not having the talent to implement it, Butch took responsibility. He said that he and his coaches had do a better job, he didn't just put it off in the players.
If I had any doubts Butch, he just solidified every ounce of trust I have pit in him to rebuild this program. Butch respects people. Don't underestimate how powerful that is.

He should be upset. This was a combination of poor coaching and play. Recruiting will help the talent and the staff will have to do better in these games. Still like the direction Butch is headed but yesterday was not good.

Great post. We are at the top of every recruiting service there is. There is no way to know that Butch is 100% the answer right now but he has to have a lot better talent to consistently compete with the teams that have been recruiting like this for years. It just don't happen over night. GO BIG ORANGE!!!

Agreed. I believe in CBJ. He can get this rebuilding job done.......but it will be much harder in this conference than what he is used to. I do feel he is on the right track though.

Talent can make coaching a lot easier (ask Fulmer).

I was waiting for a "but..." To come up in your post because of all the negativity on here. Nice post though and totally agree with you.

I don't love him and don't care if his family is beautiful but I think he is a good with a chance to be great coach. I think CBJ will bring us back to the top. We have our QB and a couple of wrs, now we need his next class in here and another year in his system.

Believe Coach Jones was the right choice and he will right the ship. I'm behind him 100%. All he needs is some good talent and that will have to come from other states other than Tennnessee, preferably from Florida, Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, both Carolinas, California, and a couple of midwestern states.

I like him and his recruiting classes for 2014 and so far for 2015. I like that he has this Bristol thing set up. I like that he is doing well with the academics, and he brought the old players back.

I like that we beat a ranked team.

We are on the right track.
