Last year we got to see nearly all of our UT basketball games on tv! This year, I have seen 1!!! I thought this ESPN deal would allow our games to be broadcast more often? Even in football towards the end of the season, we continuously were broadcasted on ESPNU! Most Comcast subscribers, which is a majority of us in the state of Tennessee, do not get ESPNU (or Sportsouth) with the rest of the ESPNs. Moreover, today our Tenn -vs- SoCal game is not broadcasted, instead CSS chooses to display the Kentucky -vs- Austin Peay garbage game! ...seriously?! ...Anyone else miss RAYCOM SPORTS?!?! :banghead2:

Nashville Comcast is showing the game will be broadcast on FCSP Channel 264.

And I am pretty sure if you just drop the extra 5 dollars for the sports package, you can pick up ESPNU on Comcast.

I wish I could get DirectTV or expanded cable packages but my building doesn't allow it... i'm just f*****! I'm just saying it was nice just turning on the tv and our game actually being there! Rather than having to catch a broke online stream... Ohhh those we're the daysss....

Just so we are clear though, Comcast blows. The only thing they have on DirecTV is the on-demand, which I don't need anymore anyways.

Sports bar. Raycom really blew though.

I seriously doubt many of the games up to this point would have been on Raycom as their coverage began with the start of conference games. Actually I'm about 99% sure of this.

The games so far this year have been televised about the same as in prior years and on the same networks for the most part, mostly on SportsSouth, FSN and ESPNU. We'll have a lot of ESPN regional games after the start of the new year that will probably be shown on the same station that used to show your old JP/Raycom games.

Plus, this game today is a USC home game which means it will be shown on the USC TV deal, which is primarily on the Fox Sports Network.

If watching ridiculous amounts of free sporting events, including basketball games that I would never see otherwise is miserable, I would love to see mediocre.

It's a mess. I like the sports, but I don't like the damn thing going out every time it so much as sprinkles.

But, as for the original topic, I've been able to watch just about every game this year. And besides, didn't Raycom only do SEC games or something like that.

I dunno, I don't have that problem. To this point I have seen it go out three times, twice with 30 mph winds outside, and the third when I was hiding from the tornadoes anyway.

It'll go out for me about 3 times a week during the summer months when the rainy season is prevalent.

Unless I missed something, I think you're correct. Heck, they didn't even do their SEC preview show until January.

That's what I thought. Which makes the title of this thread silly since they wouldn't even be doing games if they were still around.
