I must eat a giant helping of crow. I did not think the bow tie wearing admins would ever let this football season happen. And yet, here we are - the night before GAMEDAY! I was absolutely wrong and am glad I was.

Taking a look at the schedule, I am so torn. I honestly see 6-4, mainly due to the QB situation and the lack of a proven pass rush to start the season. Stankey didn't help us any by ghosting us on Mays and handing us two Top 10 teams from the West. We all know he was out to protect Bama and UGA on playoff runs.

In the end, I am glad to be writing this and getting ready to the boys in orange tomorrow! Go Vols!!!

Meh...

No need to "eat crow" in my opinion. They really shouldn't be playing, BUT they are. So it doesn't make sense to not be excited about Vol Football.

To be honest as the whole "pandemic" chucks along, I'm not quite sure what to believe. I've known people that have died of the virus, but also regardless of what political affiliation people claim, they all seem to flat out not enforce protocol. Everyday I go running there are tons of people out with no mask. No way they are all conservative. So even empty stadium college football is a welcomed respite from this.
It's cool that you chose to eat crow , i guess, but man you didnt really do anything wrong in my book...

No biggie, you're right sometimes, you're wrong sometimes. It happens.

On the other hand, I do believe realizations like yours are opportunities to learn about ourselves. Like whether we have the vision to predict how things will go under certain conditions, or whether we still need to develop that skill set.

There were a lot of folks making predictions a few months ago who absolutely could not envision a world much different from what they were seeing at the time. The heads of the B10 and PAC included, of course.

Yeah, until we start beating them somewhat consistently, they'll continue being his pets. I don't care who you are, the officiating in those games and the fact the SEC office is based in Tuscaloosa makes it blatantly obvious and no one can convince me otherwise.

Can I convince you that the SEC offices are actually in Birmingham?

You’re not too far off. There is a University of Alabama Birmingham... connection maybe? 🧐

Not too far off, at all. Close enough that one inbred family could live in a trailer park in one place, and attend family reunions in a trailer park at the other town without having to buy gas for the round trip.

I said we would start the season back in July But I’m still not sure if we will finish. My worst fear is tomm or next week we find out about a hour before kickoff that most of our offensive line or RB’s or DLine is out with Covid.

I hope I am eating crow tomorrow after the game and after the season. Mine would be in regards to the QB play. I really hope I get to eat some good ol deep fried crow with a side Crow Tenders and some Crow Nuggets.

It's STILL 2020...AND...there has STILL NOT been a kick-off YET...

Just sayin'...

There's about 4 dozen other things i've seen this year I never thought I'd see...

So... @CA_Vol ...you got THAT still going for you...put the crow in the fridge.
