I'm watching it due to it being 9PM on a Thursday night, it's cold, it's raining, nothing much else is on worth watching, and for various personal reasons, while I'm not a Vandy fan per se, I hate Baylor with a burning passion and enjoy watching them loose, preferably in bad or humiliating ways.
Don’t much blame you. I on the other hand will watch and pull like hell for Baylor to beat the hell out of them.
Fun fact....announcers just spent a minute or two discussing how they beat Tennessee to get to the bowl, and how they’ve beaten Tennessee 3 times in a row for the first time in forever, blah, blah, blah....
"Per Trotter, Hurd is not expected to be healthy enough to participate in Texas Bowl action against Vanderbilt at the end of the month. For all intents and purposes, this knee procedure will close out his collegiate career."
"Hurd was injured in Baylor’s regular-season finale against Texas Tech but returned to that contest, to the surprise of his coach, Matt Rhule.
"I told him that he probably shouldn't play [against Texas Tech] because he has a big NFL future ahead of him,” Ruhle said after that game, according to DallasNews.com. “He hurt his knee, but he wouldn't come out. He was going to play a lot of tailback, but he couldn't.
“He went out there, caught four balls and made some great blocks. It was one of the more selfless acts for this team.""
I've watched both teams a few times the season. It should be a close game, with Hurd out Baylor will throw more deep routes to #15. That kid will put up big numbers in the future.
