Busch, Stewart, and Gordon all took some of the biggest blows that you'll see. It's great to see all walk away from their crashes

Gordon said it was as hard a hit as he ever had. Cannot undestand having an opening with a blunt wall to hit that is not a Safer wall.

The Stewart and Gordon wreck both made me worried. Especially Tony's because he normally puts his net down after a wreck and it didn't even look like he moved for a while....scary scary stuff.

I believe it is fairly safe to assume there would have been at least some minor injuries in one or more of those impacts, Busch included, were it not for the Safer walls, seats and Hahns Devices. Also the roll cages and crush zones of the cars are making a difference. I feel almost certain without these advances. we would have had one, mostly likely more fatal wrecks in the time since they came along. Just think of all the hard impacts we have seen that appear to have been more severe than Dale Sr's hit.

The two top drivers in the same day is bad, no doubt. I'd say the other drivers had better bring their A-game from here on out.

Yea, it freaked me out too. I was listening to his scanner and Zippy asked him if he was alright and he didnt answer right away. Then all he said was "Im hurt". Thank goodness all the drivers were ok. No matter how much you dont like a driver you dont want them hurt. :eek:k:

You would think that Vegas would have learned from Jeff Fuller's crash at Kentucky 2 years back. Same excact way

Yeah it's just so great to see smashed up cars being towed off.. cause that's what NASCAR is all about. Man, get a grip. I don't care who it is, it's not great to see someone take a hit like that. I have a feeling if Gordon had been seriously injured your moronic tune would be a little different.

obviously my tune would be different. But anytime Gordon wrecks, walks away from it and gets a DNF, i'm one happy camper.

I'm with you on this one Bill , WRECKERS OR CHECKERS is part of racing ! I dont want anyone to be hurt while racing , but if someone does wreck , I want it to be one of the guys I dont pull for !

Also agree with VFB.
Sorry,but my sympathy goes out to all the people who die in passenger car wrecks by drunk drivers or just accidental incidents. I'm not going to get worked up because someone isn't sad about Jeff Gordon taking a big hit in an extremely well protected car and getting paid a huge amount of money to take that risk by his own free will.
