I would like to do whatever it takes to get an equal field. He reprimands our football coach last year. That was a first, and he suspends our basketball coach, also a first. i see a pattern here, Kentucky has been doing murder for years and Spurrier has been opening his mouth like Kiffin has for years with no silencer. I wanna kick Mike slive in the testicles.

That's the pesky part about it... You have to get caught cheating.

And Kiffin got reprimands. Big deal.

I agree 110%. Someone needs to inform slime that he has power only because 12 schools let him, not just alabama and florida. I think Dooley is the right guy for us, but I did like Kiffin's way of ruffling feathers.

At least if we went now, we wouldn't have to put up with Fulmer being Penn State's whuppin' boy every year.

Brilliant idea

Certainly creative thinking, but if you really want to get at Slive, join C-USA. Really give him an idea of what we think of the SEC, and as a bonus we would be an instant favorite for conference champ. Declining revenue and less tv coverage are small price to pay to show them they cannot mess with our lyin..........er honorable coach.

I actually like what Slive did. By Slive handing down a slap on the wrist, the NCAA might not punish Pearl.

Slive will get paid back when Alabama kicks Auburns a.w.s next week...and crashes the little National Championship party he is trying to ensure happens

You've got to be kidding me. If the roles were reversed and this happened to Cal at UK, you'd be calling for him to be suspended the whole year or fired. Bruce broke the rules and lied about it.

I'm as big a UT fan as anyone else, but come on. Take the orange colored glasses off. Kelvin Sampson did the same thing and DIDNT lie to the NCAA and got canned.

I too am a long time UT fan and alumnus, but I feel our fanbase as a whole to be about as dumb and ignorant as there is. Every time UT gets in hot water with the NCAA or there are disciplinary problems, it is always "they are just picking on us" and trying to justify wrong doing as acceptable or down play it. As long as the culprit is winning, it should be overlooked. We embraced Kiffin and his "minor violations" as showing bravado, but now revile him as a big mouth without substance.

We need to man up and recognize the facts, and do the right thing, replace Pearl. He is replaceable which seems to be the big fear of firing him, that we cannot hire a quality coach. It is ridiculous that a program with our facilities and recent performance history could not hire a coach at least the equal of Pearl, and should be able to do even better. Better coaches certainly exist.

Man up ha. Man up and enjoy mediocre basketball. I Have been going win or lose to bball games while in Stokely and my father since games were played in Alumni gym. Doing the right thing got our bball coaches on the golf course come March.

Does it ever occur to you how ridiculous this argument sounds?

Its quite obvious in his case that little, if anything, ever occurs.
