AJC On Monday, one of Georgias top prospects for 2014 opened his mailbox to discover 105 letters from Tennessee. The recipient was Monroe Area High Schools Stanton Truitt, who is being heavily targeted by new Tennessee coach Butch Jones and his staff. Truitt is an athlete who can play wide receiver or defensive back in college, and he holds an offer from the Volunteers. The recruiting tactic definitely caught the attention of Truitt, who put it out there on Twitter, along with a photo of his stack of orange letters. Ironically, Tennessees new director of recruiting is J.R. Sandlin, who was hired away from Alabamas staff, which sent the 102 letters last year to another Georgia kid. And how did all of that work out? The 2013 Georgia kid was Norcross High School tailback Alvin Kamara, the AJCs Mr. Football who ended up signing with (you know where this is going) Alabama over UGA. Even though on Monday the NCAA rescinded its proposal to allow virtually anything and everything to be mailed to recruits, there are still little things like Tuitts experience that are simple yet effective in recruiting
