His team even wears Crimson too. What is it with uncontrollable rage and Alabama football coaches anyway? Is there something in the water?
We DO have the world’s largest monument to an insect….the Boll Wevil monument in Enterprise Al. There IS that to be proud ofPeople who don't live down here just don't understand. Bama fans, and really the state in general about the sport of football, have an existential crisis when things don't go their way. Literally all there is here to identify with is football. And not even pro football, just college and high school.
Tennessee has two entire music genres, the world's most visited national park, cities like Nashville and Memphis with activities of all sorts, the Titans, the Grizzlies, MLS, NHL, SEC football, the list goes on and on.
The only thing in this entire state to form your identity around is which team, Alabama or Auburn, that you pull for. So, they shoot people, condone violence, determine their morality and ethics based on what their football coach tells them to think. They don't like a coach, they worship him.
It's sad, really.
