They can make NIL deals as long as the school and State law agree. With the news of ON chasing a NIL deal, I'm obviously wrong. Did things change?
Makes no difference to me. However I think it is time for him and all the covid guys to move on. I still like the game being played by "college age guys" not men who should be in the workforce or playing pro sports. I feel the same about all people in all sports that should move on with their lives and stop taking advantage of the system by "hanging on/around.So you saying you dont want him back?
21 is considerably younger that the average eligible graduating P5 athlete post Corvid. When I was in college if a classmate was 25 like Stetson or Hooker to me as a student that would seem odd and old. It's a perception thing now 25 seems young to me but it is what it is.
Most (all? not sure) international students attend university under an F-1 or J-1 visa. The J-1 visa says you can only work on campus and only part time, which seems like it’d rule out income from NIL deals since that’s not a part time job with the university they’re attending. It’s never been an NCAA issue. The concern with international athletes and NIL was based on federal law on international student visas, and whether or not NIL profiting would violate the terms of those visas.
Sorry but this is an extremely weird take... not sure how they'd be taking advantage of "the system" when they're putting blood (especially Santi he's always laying his body on the line), sweat, and tears while the University makes millions off of him with ticket sales watching him play.Makes no difference to me.
