It seemed like the whole game they were getting caught up inside with the OL blocking. All those runs were the LBs responsibility. The thing that bothered me most was that it was never corrected. I thought we were pretty good a line backer. I guess that we are also a really bad road team. I'm disappointed. I expected better. Somebody needs to address this.

Yeah we were good at LB until Pilli, Hadden, Carter, and Garland all went out with injuries.

Left us with Beasley, Telander, Albright, Smith, Perry, Bigelow, Bolton, and Williams.
BTW - those last 5 guys are all Freshmen.

So basically at LB you got Beasley, Telander, and Albright.

Herring has a big problem with run fitting, even though he's 240 lbs.
He also can't cover. He has hustle so he eventually tackles the guy downfield.

Then you have a bunch of talented freshman.

Beasley should be our caliber "back up" LB in the future. Not our stud...

Exactly - we saw a lot of Herring at LB last weekend and that is not his 'natural' position...dude needs to be up on the DL.

I bet our coached don't know about this-----quick, send them an email and bring them up to speed

We were pretty good, but thin, depth wise. I'm sure they are aware they need more, but just in case they don't know, you can relay it to them

Losing Pili hurt that unit a lot more than some realize. He had the experience to call the D signals and recognize what was going on. We had no one to replace that level of experience.
It was apparent in the Florida game, but everyone wondered why we lost. The put a man in motion 6 times in the 1st half and Herring was lost. It is what it is.

Arian Carter gone for season. So many youngins on trial by fire. More weight room will be better for the future battles this year and especially next. Hard learned experience with this tough stretch of learning play by play.

EH has improved since then but he is still not a sideline to sideline player and he's still young. Early last week I mentioned Pili was a big loss in the discussion thread about him. We found out why on Saturday.

I questioned our depth there early in the season and was told I was wrong. I don’t think our LBs were that strong this year.

We were really good. BJM may be the best coach on this team even, but then we lost 2 of our top 3 LBs for the season.

As everyone has mentioned, the injuries have just been too much for the unit to overcome.

Young guys are getting some great experience. Long term, this only helps us into Nico’s soph/Jr year.

I mean that’s the timeline guys, Nicos 2nd and 3rd year natty/playoffs/beating UGA, bama, etc should be expected.

This year with the massive rebuild, top 20 finish and bowl win is HUGE

We won't be ranked after this weekend
