I had family stuff to do so I purposely avoided the internet, social media and carrier pigeons so I could watch the game when I got home tonight. It is hard to put into words how proud I am of this team. The frequent flyers on this board debated, argued and keyboard screamed in frustration more times than I can count, but this team delivered time after time after time again. It wasn't always pretty.....but you knew they were going to fight! This team poured out its blood, sweat and tears to earn this SEC Tournament Championship. It cannot be taken away, never.
Now that this team has broken the streak of not winning the SEC tournament, they are set to go into the NCAA tournament as a seasoned team that will give a pound of flesh to get to the Final Four. I trust this team now, maybe not their offense at all times but their defense is the best I have seen a Vol team play! The Selection Kommittee got it wrong, this team earned a #2 seed and were disrespected with a #3 seed. I say to hell with them, the Vols need to go into this tournament angry and ready to lock down everyone in their path. They can win it all......there is something different about this team...maybe its the ice cold demeanor of Santi or Chandler, the no mercy attitude of Cobra Zakai, or the steadfastness of JJJ. There are components on this team that transcend past Vol teams whom we have all loved.
