team together through all the adversity this year. We haven't even seen adversity yet. Wait until we get a beat down by Missouri or Auburn and maybe even Vanderbilt. But, if the team continues to improve and we still show discipline and unity even with all the turmoil then I think Jones has a chance.

Both of those games are 50/50 at best and could turn into routes. We'll see if the team improves. They'll have to improve a lot to beat those teams.

Right now we don't have a QB that can lead, manage or impact a game positively. I've watched a lot of football to know that without a QB that can do those things this team will struggle big time. Unless Ferguson or Dobbs can step in and provide a spark (similar to what Florida's QB Murphy did) or Peterman or Worley have an extreme makeover then there will be significant losses the rest of the way.

This same Vanderbilt that was only up 10-7 on UMass in the 4th quarter...the same UMass that lost 45-0 to Wisconsin??? Vandy's and Tennessee's only common opponent was Austin Peay who we beat 45-0 and Vandy beat 38-3.

I'm not sure why we will have to "improve a lot" to beat Vanderbilt. Please explain.

Jones is the right guy for the job. It will take some time, it just goes to show what we have had for a coach the last 4 years. These are Dooley's recruits and I see why he let Bray do what he wanted. There was no QB to put in behind him. :banghead2:

Just visually watching Vandy they are a better football team than us right now. They have a better quarterback, better skill positions players and better on special teams. And, their coach has shown that his teams improve during the course of the year.

I agree with that but it doesn't seem like Jones is doing anything to rectify the quarterback situation right now. We needed a big time quarterback this recruiting year.

Uh, I'd call Oregon adversity.

I'm happy with how they came out and played vs. Florida.

Effort & Attitude = A
Gameplan = B+
Defensive 1st string Talent = B-
Defensive Depth = F
Offensive 1st string Talent = C-
Offensive Depth = F

Hopefully he can get these guys tuned up this week. Pig and Croom came to life in the 4th qtr yesterday, maybe that will help the passing game. we can't lay ALL the blame on poor QB play. there's been a lot of drops, wrong routes and Neal's routine fumble to start every game. seems like people on here also fail to realize that as retarded as muschamp and his offence is, that D is one of the best in the country.

Adversity isn't losing to someone you expected to lose to. Adversity is losing to someone you expected to beat.

If we improve our offensive play making and find some solid qb play. We will crush Vandy this year. If our D plays like they did in the 4th quarter, Vandy won't score a point.

vandy and mizzou are very winnable games. Auburn on the other hand has a slight advantage because they have some good talent there. If anyone has seen vandy play this year you would understand why we should win. They barely beat a 0-3 team yesterday. After this year franklin will jump ship and anchor down somewhere else.

Agree with your QB comments but our problems go well beyond that position. Our WRs are woeful. Our OL appears to be considerably overrated. Our RBs are average. I like, for the most part, how our DL and LBs played yesterday, but our DBs are slow and undisciplined. This team just is what it is .... unathletic and not very good.

But, he's exactly right. Worley can help us beat the WKU's and the South Alabama's but to beat better teams you have to have a quarterback who can run the offense and make an occasional play. Right now we don't have one.

Missouri is a loss. Vandy is a toss up since it's at home.

If you took the best 11 players off Candy and Mizzous defense combined it wouldn't be as good as the one we played yesterday. Our team will continue to improve and we took Missouri to overtime last year with Sal and Dooley on the sidelines.

I wonder how Coach Jones will manage the team now. His bad decision robbed the players and fans of the opportunity to beat Florida, for the first time in eight years. There is no kind of puffed up sales pitch for overcoming a thing like that, when everybody knows.

Dude, those were observations from a fans perspective, not a resume for a coaching job. Perphaps you should provide us with your thoughts on the game and the team.
