I want to take a second and remind you guys that early last week I believe, their was a found raiser that a kid was trying to raise for his Dad, that is a lifetime long VOL fan. His Dad recently got diagnosed with a life ending disease(I can't remember exactly what) but gave him a couple months to live at the most. He told his son that one thing he wanted to do was see a VOL game. His wish came true tonight when his son raised over a thousand plus dollars to make the trip and get some things there to remember what is most likely will be the last family trip and an awesome memory with his Dad.:cray:

During the whole game that's all I was thinking about. It really hit my heart sitting there thinking about it and made me so happy to see the fans finally showing up and our team giving it their all, making it a game. Even with a heartbreaking loss you have to think that during that time we were coming back, taking the lead, what was going on between them.

I just thought I'd take my time to THANK all of the fans and our players for not giving up and making this game memorable for not only us but especially them.

My heart goes out to the family. Here's to the family,CBJ&Staff, our fans and team 117.:salute:

It really wasn't all that heartbreaking to me. Team 117 gave great effort and fell a little short. I'm still not convinced of the touchdown call, as it looked like to me Pig stretched it out with one hand and was touching the ball as it crossed the goal line..... But oh well, such is life playing ball in the SEC.

On another note, that is a heartwarming story and I'm sure today was one that the family will never forget!

Go Vols!!!!!
