....to the team. I've never been a big proponent that the team reads messageboards, but hey, if any do, I'm sorry that we the fans have to continue to argue over the merits of your coaching or who should or should not be your coach. Instead of enjoying your success on the court, we're still in-fighting about your coach. Personally, I'm tired of all the pro/anti-CCM threads and wish everyone would remember we're all Vol fans and what's happenning on the court right now has given us a lot to cheer for.

Lots of posters on both sides need to unpucker their bungholes, relax, and enjoy the tourney.

Go Vols! Beat Mercer!

I hope they read VN and see this. I really do. Not much else to say. in Hindsight, we've kind of all acted like jackaZZeZ. It would probably make them feel a little better if they did read it anyways. It would at the very least verify that they've made the fans happy and given some validation to their hard work. Good job Weezer

If only there was like a player filter or something that auto-ignores anything dumb or negative for them.... Freak can you please get to work?

VN can be like watching all of the 24-hour news channels talking politics. In the end, it is only how you feel that matters. Some talk of crowning the coach, others talk of firing and lots of OPINIONS fall somewhere in between. There is no right or wrong on a message board, it is all opinion. As the OP stated, let's all enjoy the tourney.

I agree

And on that same topic, worry about next year next year. This season will be over before you know it and we will never get to watch Jordan McRae or Jeronne Maymon take the court for the Vols again.

Think about that for a minute....

I don't know about the rest of you, but damn that's kinda sad. So for me, and I've been guilty as anyone lately, I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the rest of this season!

GBO!

The only thought I've given to the coach since they made the NCAA tourney has been when I come on the board to share the excitement with fellow fans only to have to sort through the coaching opinions in ever damn thread I open. I wish Freak would put everyone on notice, if you post extend/fire CCM or hire CBP in any thread that's not specifically titled for that topic, then you're suspended from posting for 1 month. I can't believe how some folks insist on polluting every thread with the same crap.

I just want to say go vols and I'll hang up and listen!

Look these athletes know the score. Yes they are young but they are not stupid. Most athletes and coaches now that fans are fickle and react out of frustration. But I don't think it hurts to let them know that we are behind them regardless of results. It's easy to criticize behind a keyboard. It's not easy to go out in front of millions of people and perform; then to have everyone see when you fail. I'm proud of this team and coach. Kudos to the op.

So after the filter how much content do you think would be left? 1 maybe 2 threads.

Agree.

Message boards are for fans to share opinions, vent their frustrations, and defend their coach/team when necessary. Sometimes they agree, many times they don't.

If you find a fan base that doesn't have such opinions, then you've found a fanbase that isn't passionate about their team, IMO.

I have no problem with posters debating the coaching staff's ability, but I think that can wait til the offseason. Why do it now? We're dancing. Let's enjoy the dance right now and we'll get back to the coaching arguements later. Let's take our passion and focus on the team, not the coach, for as long as our tourney run lasts. When the dance is over, then we can get back to the CCM debate.
