where Jose Bautista's power surge came from. The most HRs he had in an entire season before this season was 16. He's sitting on 43 right now I believe. Odd...

He had 10 in the month of September last year so he bascially picked up where he left off.

Maris hit 61 in '61 and never hit more than 33 in a season (his previous high was 39 the season before) after that... it can happen.

Dude is such a freak. Right back on pace once again.

Misses a few games, comes back, doesn't miss a beat.

I refuse to believe that a guy can change a minor detail in his swing and go from a run-of-the-mill batter to the best power hitter the game has to offer.

And he has the best plate discipline in the League. He hits his pitch, which is usually a pitch inside. Something clicked for him.

Has there ever been a player that was nothing more than an average player thru his mid to late 20's and then all of a sudden become the one of the best hitters in baseball out of nowhere?

Can't blame me and others for having doubts.
