Assuming UT would be the miracle 4 seed, and draw a rematch with Georgia. Hooker was forced to scramble 18 times for 17 yards. That doesn't seem like much yardage to have to "give up" in the QB run game, so basically no sacrifice at all, right?

Two things.
1. There's no way in hell the Vols are getting into the playoffs. Georgia's in even if they lose. So is TCU most likely. Ohio State and Alabama are in front of us. The math just doesn't work.
2. Not having an ACL myself, I'd say an emphatic No! It's not the running. It's stepping into the throw or moving laterally at all. It's not the load bearing that gets you, it's the lack of stability. An ACL is tension bracing. Most mechanical braces are compression type devices.

There is zero chance Tennessee can make the playoff.
