1. Nothing will change

2. Both of them will probably want to sit down and talk to the enemy which is a bad idea, because then you are enpowering them by recognizing them as having strength, something Jimmy ****ing Carter can't get through his thick skull.

3. You can't reason with madness. These people (fundamentalists) want all western culture and influences out of their region and folks that isn't ever going to happen because we are in what is called an international trade and globilization stage in our development. We can't pack up and leave tomorrow. All of the govt of Southwest Asia good and bad know this and they also know that if the U.S. and Europe was to leave then it's back to the stone age for the region for good. Who are they going to sell their oil too? Who is going to help them build Dubailand? Southwest Asia has very little going for it, except for oil. What other major raw material is taken out of Southwest Asia as we speak right now?

They know this and we know this. We have this region by the balls and the only ones who don't want to play this game are your religious nuts of the region, which is why we will continue to send troops into the area until the govt's of this region finally wake up and take care of their own problems, so that they can get back to making money.

So for all the talk any presidential candidate has take it for a grain of salt, because they all know deep down that they cannot afford for the region to become anymore unstable as it already is. If we wanted to deal with this problem once and for all, what we need to do and greenlight Israel to do what it does best and that is kill terrorists and we and Israel do an all out clean sweep of the region and then see what happens.

Will we ever do this? Nope, which is why I hope Israel eventually says screw the U.S. and they do it for the rest of the world.

Thoughts?

Hillary will deplete the military as her husband did. Obama will meet with terrorists and tell them one thing while telling us another. Then he will start programs to end poverty in theses terrorist states and we will find out funds were diverted to fund terrorism.

another approach to take is one similar to that GW Bush abandoned in 1991. Encourage moderate muslims to fight back against the islamofascists and support them in the same way that we support Israel.

The world will never be able to rationally and diplomatically reason with the likes of Hamas, AQ, Hezbollah. Something HC and BHO don't understand is that sitting down and having a "dialogue" is a sign of weakness.

Not only to us but ESPECIALLY in that corner of the world.

How do you deal with an entity that wants nothing more than to kill you? How do you talk with someone/something like this? Any candidate that says they could do it any different is full of it. Lets not forget that Thomas Jefferson fought against terrorists long before George #1 got into the game.

I would love to know what you would do if you was the POTUS. The floor is all yours. :hi:
I guess I will jump in and answer, for myself.

The main change, in my presidency, would be that every last act of legislation that the Congress wanted to impose, that had no connection with my platform, would require a 2/3 majority. I WOULD VETO EVERYTHING!

The budget would probably take a good six to seven months to pass, the first year. That first year would not threaten anyone, since, the money would be flowing to all the wrong places, from the previous year's budget. However, that second year...the Federal Government would most definitely shut down for a month.

At that point, midterm elections would definitely be a mandate as to what this country wants: a President who does not want to spend money on unnecessary BS...or a 2/3 majority in Congress to override said President (still would not change my stance on the veto, though.)

The whole business of line-item veto proposition, while good in theory, is simply an excuse for weak and/or tired Presidents to not use their veto power.

We could always bomb them and kill many innocent people .

Anytime you wage war there is collateral damage. Always has and always will. We do make great effort to minimize that at our soldiers expense.
