Mike Gundy means nothing to me. Spent his whole life west of the Mississippi at Okie St.

Strong IMO comes off as a guy who will relate to kids in the South and has the experience of coaching SEC football. He is defensive minded (something UT needs desperately).

If Gundy accepts position, he will have to prove me wrong because I just don't see it.

If I'm a recruit, I say, "Charlie Strong went 7-6, 7-6, 10-2 and lost to some pitiful Big East opponents...why would I play for him again?"

Now, I can't say that I wouldn't say the same about Mike Gundy, but Charlie Strong has THREE years of head coaching experience. THREE YEARS. Not enough to know what kind of coach he's going to be, especially in an already weakened (as if it weren't pathetic enough) big east.

Agree 100%. A Gundy hire is accepting mediocrity on all fronts. There is no other way to spin it.

Yeah having a former national coach of the year would be a tragedy...

Do u guys hear yourself? I swear ppl just bit** and moan just to do it..

Strong or Gundy would be big hires.. Two of the hottest coaches out there right now.
