...we would lose by 23pts to Vanderbilt, what would you have told me? Seriously. Or even after our dominating win over N.C. State.

I would have said something like "Wow, you truly are an idiot who knows nothing about this team. There's no way Vandy beats us this year, let alone by 3 TD's... We have way too many players returning and too much talent. Stop trolling."

I would say we probably would lose, based on what Dooley had done and if you really thought about it after the Florida game you knew 0 for October was in the bag and then lay down November was a good chance after that. So actually I was thinking this was good year for it, look if you thought Dooley was the answer (which I have said this for 3 years) you were delusional.

I was listening to a radio talk show here in Bristol after the NC State game. The caller was up in arms about how bad dooley was and said we would not win a SEC game except UK and Troy may beat us...I was laughing so hard that morning I could not believe what I was hearing...now I look back and that must have been nostradamus.

Every year my season with the Vols either continues or in most cases, ends with the Florida game. Every year it is not the kids, it is the coaches, the coaches the coaches. In retrospect, I guess the real finger needs to be aimed at the UTAD for our coaches. Dooley was not at fault for what he did. Seriously. He didn't do anything noteworthy pre UT so why should we have expected more from him?

Honestly, even going into yesterday, if you'd told me the score would be 41-18, I would absolutely assume that Tennessee won. I never thought Vandy could dominate the way they did.

Why in the world would you ever assume that this defense would hold a team to 18 points?

If you would have tol me we would score 30+ points a game, I would have thought we would be in the running for the SEC championship, not fighting to avoid last place.

I wasn't impressed with our secondary during the NCState game, but thought we had a jewel in Patterson, still do. Better enjoy him next week cause that's the last we'll see him in orange. Realistically losing 7 coaches off the staff last season was more crushing than we realize. The only area of improvement was the running game and Offensive line.

I know...I was always on the fence about Dooley, but was willing to give him a chance. But I thought for sure coming into this season we would win 7 or 8 games. 4-7 (0-7)??? That never even crossed my mind.

We win 10 in 2013 and 11 if the breaks go our way.....just wanted to start this thought....

In hindsight, the last 20 minutes of the Florida game was the beginning of the end of the Dooley era. We just didn't know it at the time.

I don't care who the new UT coach is....provided....

We put a defense on the field that knows how to stop the keep-option. That single play has beaten UT for YEARS. We can't stop it the vast majority of the time. Its incredible to me that Fla has used that single play to get up on UT for SO LONG and we still don't have an answer (roll Trae Burton clip). Candy did the same thing last night and once the RB got to the edge it was 4, 5 or 47 yards.

I'm amazed that people that make $500,000+ annually can't scheme a defense for that. Until we stop it, FLA (and others) will own us.

They dominated the sidelines, most importantly.
