Sivad, I used to watch his Saturday night horror show when living in Memphis in the late 60's/70's. I think it was channel 13. "Savid" is actually Davis spelled backwards. He was a funny/creepy dude. Scared the crap out of me between the ages of 6-11. Thanks for the memory.

In 2000, Va Tech was a very good football program. Mike Vick had just left & they’d played in the BCS.

Yep, I forgot to add Nebraska.

They always had that overrated feel about them back then. Like they didn't belong and it's not surprising what happened since. Sort of like Kansas St.

I would've been more surprised if you said bama and clemson are in most years.... or that missouri is in the sec, specifically the east

CFB has always been dominated by a handful of teams at a time and the dominant groups composition changes over time. Usually a decade can pass and you'll see a far different scene. The 90's were our post-Neyland zenith but the 70's and 80's were fairly lean with a few exceptions, nothing like the nadir of the 10's though.
