If I were Maymon I would be pissed and let the other players know about it

i feel stokes also played a good game especially considering how crappy our guards played. our post guys were taking on 3 guys every time down low. maymon and stokes are the only ones deserving of a ride home, everyone else should walk.

Stokes wasn't very impressive. His only bright spot tonight was his rebounding.

Stokes did ok. Rebounded pretty good, but only scored 6 points. He had too many turnovers.

I thought he held his own against a Sr that acted like a punk.

I agree about Stokes. Is it too early to say he's our best rebounder? At the very least, he plays with the most heart on the glass.

Stokes and Maymon are averaging about the same number of rebounds.

since stokes has seen major minutes he's had 8, 12, and 10 rebounds. in those 3 games maymon has had 8, 7, and 8. stokes is averaging about 2.5 more a game right now than maymon since he has been getting starter minutes, i think the rebound number will continue to rise for him as well too.

What this team needs is consistency. There have been nights when Maymon was off too, and other players picked up the slack.

I agree, we do need consistency. It almost looks like it is a conditioning issue on the road. We look fine at home, but lethargic on the road. I know the team got to Nashville yesterday, maybe we should have stayed in Knoxville and come in this morning.

I was pissed after the game too, but now that I look at it.. It appears that the upper classmen like Woolridge, McRae, McBee, and Hall are not playing hard. I give credit to ccm for playing guys like washpun and richardson

I'd much rather lose with a group of less talented guys busting their a$$ for the Vols than to have some 4 and 5 star entitled babies pouting out there when it doesnt go their way

Stokes is going to be just fine - anyone remotely worried about him is retarded. But I think that's understood.

I hate to rap on a topic that gets enough already, but I think Trae was a major weak point for us in this game. There were multiple times coming down the court that Stokes or Maymon were wide open under the basket - all it would of taken is a simple lob to him for easy fast break points. An SEC starting PG should make that play in his sleep. He also is virtually unable to score against an experienced team. He can't finish at the basket (most of the time he can't even draw the foul - why foul him when you know the ball isn't going in anyway?), his outside shot is a joke when he isn't wide open, and I know this may come as a surprise (/sarcasm) but he's not a true point guard, nor is he a halfway decent 2. Time to see if we can fudge Stanton's eligibility papers.

Our team simply got smacked in the mouth early on and never responded. Tatum needs to take some leadership courses at UT.
