If I were Urban Meyer

Its easy to say that when Tebow only comes in to run his special set of plays. But Leak moves the team pretty well. There is an argument to be made, I'll concede, that Leak is not good under pressure.

I'd definitely give Tebow more snaps. The game got away from Leak a little bit in the 2nd half.

It was only a matter of time before Leak choked resulting in a loss. They should've had Tebow in there to run the ball because he's so big and nobody can tackle him..

Tebow > Leak

that Tebow needs more snaps. This was the first game I noticed it but it seemed to me that the 2 quarterback system disrupted their rhythm a couple of times. And Leak looked a little frustrated to me when Tebow came in. All it takes is a little bad chemistry and it affects the whole team...

I thought that switching Tebow and Leak between downs might have thrown off Leak's rhythm. You know the 2-qb system would get them eventually.

Tebow would start from now on. Period
as a true freshman who enters the game sporadically, Tebow is able to be much more effective than if he were in the entire game, IMO. Yes, he looks promising as hell, but 2 things would concern me if I were a Gator fan...(1) running QB's, as we all know, are highly vulnerable to injury..especially ones that don't slide. (2) the more he is in games, the more predictable that little roll run through the middle will become. He is a great looking QB so far, but a few conference starts will prob bring him down to earth quite a bit. That said, I'd be proud to have him wearing orange & white.

If I was Urban Meyer, I'd shoot Tebow and then shoot myself!

That's just silly. Do you not see how good this team is going to be next year? Tebow is getting invaluable experience and you can alreayd see that he's got tremendous talent. Next year, with all of the tough games at home (except LSU), Florida will be very highly ranked preseason.

Possible. In the end, I just think Leak is not tough enough for SEC football.

LG, do you honestly think Leak is a Heisman candidate?
if he doesn't think Leak's tough enough for SEC football, then I highly doubt he could also think of him as a Heisman candidate at this point, but I'll let LG speak for himself...

Remember this law...pre-season dosn't matter...look at the 2005 season for us:sick:

tebow is a big boy and can run on a defense pretty well, however, coming out with fresh legs vs a defense that has been on a field helps him with running over people. i don't think he would be able to do that all day. his passing hasn't impressed me as much as his legs. i don't think i would start tebow over leak.

I said in a thread here last week that I did not think Leak or Ainge was a serious candidate this year.

I am a fan of Leak's. Always have been. But I have friends who have been insisting for a while now that he is just missing something, that intangible thing that wins the big games.

I don't know. I guess I'd have to say overall that when he leaves and next year brings the Tebow-Harvin show, it just feels like there is so much more potential for explosive, dominating offense. With Leak, the sense is that Florida will have to fight for the win in the 4th quarter.

Can't believe Urban didn't have Tebow in there in the second half when Florida was what, 3rd and three from the five or six...

I think if he continues with Leak, they will lose again when they go up against a team that brings a lot of pressure...blitz and play zone and you got them!

If Mapu had not been called for that brush to the head, that would have possibly been Leaks last throw as a Gator. I really don't think the gators could have rebounded had that TD stood in Knoxville. I have always felt that left with time to throw Leak is possibly the best passer in NCAA football. It's when he is pressured, he seems to make bad throws/decisions. I feel this is the heartburn gator fans have with him.
