what players do you think would be interested in tennessee i heard that matt barkely and manti te'o would be any others?

Shaquille Evans (stud WR )was a torn between USC and ND, picked ND.

He took a brief look at UT early, and if ND fires Weis we may get a visit.

ESPN's profile on Matt Barkley doesn't mention UT in context, but they have added the power T under the schools he was considered...interesting.

On the rivals link under Barkley we show up as the third team listed by interest...1)USC and 2) Stanford...he probably will stick with the West Coast but just the fact he wants to visit creates interest and...well its highly likely a Freshman could be calling the signals next year.

I hope and believe that with Kiffin coming we have now equaled the playing field in recruiting with Bama. Especially living down here in the state. I think the name and his resume is going to attract some of these kids that have turned interest else where. This is going to be huge and I am excited about our future, GO VOLS!!!

We were on Barkley's radar before he committed to USC. However, I don't think he was ever seriously considering any other schools because he committed rather quickly to USC. Like someone else said though, just to get a visit from him would look good.

in kiffins staff, it appears Reaves will come. SC has Holloman, Gilmore and other recruits that also considered us. does this now put us in with them now or how does this effect them?

Do we really have a shot at Te'o? I would rather have him then I had Barkely. I think Boyd will do us a great job at QB.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if some of Reaves' recruits decided to look at UT if he comes here. Unfortunately, Reaves was not the main recruiter for Holloman, Gilmore, or D.J. Swearinger for that matter. Ellis Johnson, South Carolina's DC, is recruiting those guys for SC, so I don't think getting Reaves would make that much of a difference. However, it could affect someone like Damario Jeffery, the 4th ranked "athlete" in the country. If he likes Reaves enough, you could see him make the change with him.

From just knowing what happened at Ole Miss last year... Ole Miss lost a few of its higher rated guys when the coaches recruiting them got fired and went to Southern Miss. And those kids ended up going to Southern Miss too. Now, there is no reason a 4-star recruit would ever want to attend a lesser C-USA school other than they liked the coach so much, they decided to go there too. So, you can see that certain kids who have developed a good enough relationship with a coach will follow them about anywhere.

Not that it matters cause he's not changing, but Damario Jeffery is legit....

If Monte comes with Lane do we a have a shot at getting Swearinger to come back? That kid is a beast I've seen him play.
