It's going to be weird seeing Bama get selected for a BCS bowl and Auburn fall to the Capital One.

People complain about the NCG when really it's the other BCS bowls that usually get it wrong and suck.

That's not going to happen. By beating Auburn, Mizzou's strength of schedule would eclipse Bama's. And if Ohio St looses, you would see Mizzou and Florida St in the NC game.

Could we see an all SEC National Championship game? If charges are brought against Winston, he could be suspended for Florida States game with Duke. Ohio St could be upset buy Michigan State. Winner of SEC Championship plays Bama.........

Puke. I hope Bama gets screwed. Not wanting Auburn to play for it either (have family that are AU fans). I wouldn't mind FSU crushing OSU.

Doesnt look like Winston is going to be charged. Imagine that an FSU football player avoiding charges

Agree OP. And next year, when the playoff is supposed to "fix" everything auburn would probably have to win the SEC to be top 4 and Alabama would already be in even though they lost to Auburn.

To be honest, BAMA is still probably the best team even with a loss. I would bet they would destroy AU if they were to play again, much like the did LSU a couple years ago.

I think it's fitting that the last season before a playoff, we have an almost perfect scenario for next year's playoff.

It's also fitting that we have to wait on the outcome of the last major conference title game for the BCS picture to take shape.

The ratings for the Big 10 title game will be huge.

If the investigation is complete and no arrest has been made yet then its not going to happen especially if you are holding a press conference at 2pm to announce your findings in the investigation.

This happened after the 2001 season. UT beat UF. LSU beat UT in the SECCG. UF went to the Orange Bowl while UT went to the Citrus.

It happened last year:

UGA beat Florida. UGA lost SECCG. UF went to the Sugar while UGA went to the Cap One.

If bummer ends up in the title game, then CFB is rigged worse than the NBA!! I would literally throw up! I'd like to see Auburn & FSU or OSU. Would love seeing Auburn crush urban myth! Can't imagine NC being from Ala 5 straight yrs though. Another hurling moment.

OSU does not deserve it. No losses or not, their schedule is made of pillows and rainbows.

I do think the loser of the SECCG gets screwed relative to Alabama. Mizzou and Auburn both have the same record as Bama pre-championship game and both won their divisions. Loser should get SEC BCS slot.

Yeah but unless a team is ranked 3rd or 4th, at large bids are all about the bigger draws, the least losses, and (somewhat) whose last loss wasn't the most recent. And the draw of a one-loss big name school often tops the draw of a 2 loss school.


Really, the more "screwed" part seems to come from if Missouri loses, because - lacking a big name brand - they may well fall all the way down through the bowls to the Chick-fil-a bowl (who would have to take them by contract).

It happened to Missouri as well in 2007 in the Big 12. They beat Kansas in the last regular season game to win the division and then lost in the B12 Championship Game. Kansas got a bid to the Orange Bowl and Missouri went to the Cotton Bowl.
