I always wonder what peyton's college career would be if only he played at florida

Don't think the Giants D has been all that great over the years. They just had incredible playoff runs in 2007 and 2011.

I don't think anybody will dispute that most of the decade+ Peyton has been in Indy, except for a couple seasons he's single-handedly covered up a lot of deficiencies on that roster. It's pretty apparent Polian wasn't all that great at his job.

But using that as an excuse as to why he hasn't won more doesn't improve his status. You can't have somebody in the GOAT discussion based on what-ifs.

For the record, I do think if he played for a better organization he would have won multiple SB's and seriously been in the discussion for GOAT, but that's purely conjecture and speculation.

Could you imagine if Peyton spent most of his career with Armani Toomer, instead of Marvin Harrison, Clark, Wayne?

What if peyton had the ravens defense, barry sanders & jerry rice/michael irvin/tony gonzales? Would he have lost a game?

True, and no Freeney is a huge reason as to why the Saints won, too.

Peyton's pick six was the back breaker. It was a bad throw that apologist will claim was Wayne's fault. Doesn't matter how he breaks on it, it was an awful pass in a pressure situation. BTW, Peyton hasn 't always been at his best in pressure situations. For several years, he had great regular seasons then would choke a bit in the playoffs. I've seen it first hand on several occasions.

It wasn't on Wayne at all. Porter just took a huge gamble, and guessed right. Just one of those unlucky things for the Colts. Their offense survives by making checkdown throws based on the pressure, and Porter guessed the right throw.

Reasons Colts choked away 10 point lead -
(1) Freeney comes out in first quarter, after that the Colts couldn't stop NO
(2) Garcon drops a wide open pass 3rd down pass to kill drive late in 2nd quarter
(3) Onside kick

Before #2 and #3 the Colts were still controlling the game, but those 2 plays kept Manning on the sideline while the game momentum got completely flipped. The pick was an after-thought. It was a situation the Colts were forced into because of an epic collapse.
