who all gets BCS bids?

1. OSU
2. UF
3. USC
4. WF
5. OU/NU
6. Rutgers
7. BSU
8. UM
9. LSU
10. UL

Or would ND get in over LSU?

Notre Dame is in period.

Too much money involved.

The ONLY question mark is does the Rose or Sugar (depending on who ends up in the National Title Game), take 11-1 Louisville or 9-3 LSU.

I think LSU and Notre Dame both get in. I don't think two Big East teams play in BCS games.

LSU is 10-2. They are getting in, I really doubt two Big East teams make it to BCS games.

UL would get in over LSU in that case because UL is rated higher. Conference doesn't matter. If ND doesn't make the top 8, they aren't automatically in.

ND will get in anyways.

And I don't think ranking matters with Louisville vs. LSU, I believe it's whoever the bowl wants.

Notre Dame is in because they are Notre Dame.

Louisville is behind LSU in the BCS, and it doesn't matter where they are.

Only the Top 4 teams not called Notre Dame are guarenteed an at-large spot. Notre Dame needs to be in the Top 8 to guarentee itself a spot, but trust me, they are in.

The last 2 spots will come down to those 3.

ND won't jump up to 8 unless USC falls behind them. LSU will be rated higher than UL. LSU is in.

Notre Dame doesn't HAVE to be Top 8 to get in, just to get in automatically.

If you think the Sugar Bowl is going to take Louisville over Notre Dame.....well, I know you don't.

After reading the selection process, it is likely that ND will be chosen over UL. It is up to the bowl committees.

Notre Dame doesn't get in automatically unless in top 8. They will get in because they are picked ahead of UL.

National Title Game Ohio St. vs. Florida
Rose Bowl USC vs. Michigan
Fiesta Bowl Neb/Oklahoma winner vs. Boise St.
Sugar Bowl LSU vs. Notre Dame
Orange Bowl Wake Forest vs. Louisville or Rutgers

Other Scenario is....

National Title Game Ohio St. vs. Michigan
Rose Bowl USC vs. LSU
Fiesta Bowl Neb/Oklahoma winner vs. Boise St.
Sugar Bowl Florida vs. Notre Dame
Orange Bowl Wake Forest vs. Louisville or Rutgers

I'd rather see:

National Title Game Ohio St. vs. Michigan
Rose Bowl USC vs. Rutgers
Fiesta Bowl Oklahoma vs. LSU
Sugar Bowl Florida vs. Boise St.
Orange Bowl Wake Forest vs. Notre Dame

That way Rutgers(the rep of the Big Easy), BSU, and ND can all be exposed. How much would a loss to WF hurt ND's recruiting? I also think a LSU vs OU matchup would be good.

WF is a good story, but they would not beat ND.

I don't think they would, but it would be nice. I could see the committee put that game together to make ND look good.

All that is impossible though with Conference Tie-ins and order of selection.

Title Game gets one vs. two.

Then Rose gets to replace the Big Ten Champ to face Pac-10 Champ USC.

Then Sugar gets to replace the SEC team or select it's at-large.

Orange then gets ACC vs. Big East

That leaves the Fiesta with the Big 12 tie-in and the final at-large team Boise St.

But yeah, I see your points. Wake beating Notre Dame would be SWEET.

What is impossible about it? Rose Bowl gets Pac 10 vs Big 10. Orange gets ACC. Sugar gets SEC. Fiesta gets Big 12. Rose would have to replace Big 10 champ. The rest take at large teams.
