If Texas goes down...what are the chances the BCS would select Florida to play Alabama again for the national championship??? We all know money is a huge factor in these bowl games. We also know that a Florida/Bama rematch would make a ton more money than watching TCU and all 27 of their fans play the Tide.

Could it happen???????

No. If Florida had played close, possibly. No way they get voted in after getting crushed like that. Florida drops to 4th in the final standings.

No.

You watched the game I'm assuming.

It wasn't even close.

Alabama beat the piss out of them.

EDIT: Also, after needing a Wannstache chokejob to win and giving up 44 points, the NC berth is as good as TCU's if Texas loses this.

the Gators just got curb stomped, so I don't think they'll be on option on the BCS table of 'what ifs'.

could it happen...yes! I personally don't think Florida kept it close enough for that scenerio to happen.

UF could have lost by 1 and even ESPN couldn't do enough lobbying in a 24 hour period to get that team back up as a 2....especially after the effect their last two years of "you must win your conference to play in the BCS championship" has had

NO, the Gators won't even get a smell! The SEC Chammpionship wasn't even close. Tide will play TCU or Cincinnati. But let's hope that the Longhorns win the Big 12. The Texas/Tide game would be more exciting to watch. I just think the Horns haven't put their "A" game together yet. Watch the Longhorns put up 21 in the 2nd half and hold Huskers to 10!

How boring would TCU vs bama be? Or does anyone think TCU would have a chance?

tcu is a really good football team. that being said, if that matchup was to actually happen the tide would still win

I understand TCU is a good team and they have very good defense, but I just can not see them taking down Bama or the game being very competitive for that matter.

TCU would beat the crap out of them. so would Cincinnati.
but with no playoff..we will never find out.
A lot of people need to wake up and take notice of all these smaller FASTER schools.

I am wondering if Nebraska gets the automatic bid, does Texas get an at large bid or does it go to a UF team that just got embarrassed? Given the number of undefeated teams in the top ten and the automatic conference bids that scenario would SERIOUSLY screw up the SEC bowl picture. UF probably gets a BCS game on name alone though.

If TCU does face bama, I hope they do beat the crap out of them. I will not bet any money on TCU doing that, but one can hope.

Looks moot now after that horsecollar tackle.

Ingram would have 400 yards against Cincy.
