Exactly. Plus the past two years have been close wins against them. Just a different flip of the coin as the UGA close losses were for us. Until we start dominating them I'll take USC and the OBC seriously. Going to be an important game and a tough one, not the auto-win some seem to expect.

I get the optimism coming from South Carolina's fans. Fresh faces, probably better talent, but some of them seem to think they're a sleeper candidate to win the East or win the SEC. I think with their schedule they win 6-8 games including a potential bowl win. They may take a step forward on defense, but I see their offense regressing enough that the defensive improvements won't matter.
