.....you could go back and watch in person, what game would it be?

I'm going to say Game 7 of the '26 World Series.

I'm sure it would be awesome to the Braves clinch their WS, or watch Ruth, maybe even Brooks Robinson coming into the league.

If I could pick one, I think maybe when Ripken set his "Ironman" record. I think that atmosphere would have been awesome.

The game Hank Aaron won the home run title, that he still holds today.

Honorable mention... The game the Braves won to wrap up the world series title.

would go back and actually attend 2001 game 7. I was outside the ballpark but couldn't afford the tickets then (not a huge baseball fan)

Game 5 of the '56 World Series. Don Larsen pitches the only perfect game in postseason history, and the Yanks eventually win the Series in 7 games.

That's definitely near the top of any list, or should be

Game 7 of the '04 ALCS, would be so great to be in New York and hear an entire city go silent.

Yankee games don't count. Maybe the OP should have been more specific.

1905 World Series between New York Giants and Philadelphia Athletics. Pick any of the five games.

Christy Mathewson pitched three games in 6 days against three Hall of Fame pitchers, Big Joe McGinnity, Eddie Plank, and Chief Bender. He won all 3 games.

First picture is of the Polo Grounds during the Series.

Great question OP.

What makes baseball so great is the larger than life stories that become part pact and part legend over time.

That was easily the best World Series of my lifetime.

it was the only one where I lived in the team's city. Not a baseball fan but I definitely got swept up in it. Plus it was the Yankees shortly after 9/11 so it was just a strange time

Matt Morris probably threw 2 of the best games of his career in games 1 and 5 in the NLDS that year only to be topped by Schilling both times.

Kirk Gibson's home run off Dennis Eckersley in game 1 of the 88 World Series.

I would make a few wagers too if I could go back in time, Biff Tannen style.
