Said that Tee had to rent a car and drove around awhile to figure out where they were supposed to go....WTF???

Is our AD really so disfunctional that somebody doesn't take the responsibility to greet a potential coach at the airport???

I've said this before and I'll say it again.....this interview was nothing more than a token interview so UT could say "we tried". They had no intentions of bringing Tee on board. Same with Harts call to Jon Gruden.

I think the point is that Tee would/should know where the AD office is. If it was someone that hadn't played here, then maybe they would need directions or to be picked up, but for somoene that spent 3-4 years on campus on the football team, I would think they know where the AD office is, as well as the HC office.

I don't think this was part of some conspiracy to insult Tee Martin. It is probably more an issue where we have a staff that is almost all completely new. The new coach probably thought someone in the AD was going to handle getting Tee everything he needed. I agree with the OP here that if this is true, someone in the AD dropped the ball and it should be fixed pronto. Someone picked up Butch from the airport, and the same should have been done for Tee. I don't think it would have been unreasonable to expect Hart himself to have been there to greet Tee at the airport.

Are you drunk? The AD and coaches offices are in the NEW facilities which Tee has never seen before! He hasn't been back in a few years you know. Its been 12 years since he played here. :crazy:

It SHOULD have been Hart since he was a part of the whole not calling Martin back when he asked about a job a year or two ago. I'm trying to be positive about this new staff but it is hard when one realizes our athletic department aren't pulling in the same direction. It doesn't inspire hope for our future till changes are made.

I work with athletic depts. Almost 100% of the time you can find an AD's office on or near the university's campus. Especially in the SEC.

Actually, this is a slap in the face of Tee Martin. Just think, a UT grad that doesn't know how to rent a car, submit the bill to the university for reimbursement, nor can find the AD or head football coach's office(s) on campus? A campus that he graduated from?

And we want this guy to knock on recruit's doors as a representative of the university?
