... we should take the #2 spot in both the AP and Coach's top 25 polls. Duke didn't look good at home against UCONN and if we can go on the road to beat a #6 team who has been ranked as high as #3, that should bolster us to #2 imo.
Unfortunately, the officiating two years ago in Palo Alto was quite possibly the worst I've seen in ANY women's college game I can remember in recent years. Plus, they have beat us the last 3 times in their gym even in 2008 with Candace Parker and company, so we are going to have to play very well to get a win.
Making this game even more important is the fact that Stanford doesn't really have many tough games left except for in conference foe #11 Colorado (once) and #21 California (twice) who seems a bit overrated at the moment imo. So, if Stanford gets this win, they could potentially cost to a #1 seed.
