If we EVER have another coach...

Have to admit, I enjoyed watching Boyd go at it. And hearing the quip Dabo made against Spurrier when we were in SC back in October made me a fan. lol

Typical Chief Defense....playing to protect the lead. I remember when TN would do those flops with Chief as DC. Happy New Year VolNation...see ya tomorrow.

How many times have we seen a Chavis defense do this? I still don't get the Vol fans that want him back. Not a recruiter and bound to lose a close game on a game winning drive if at all possible.

Mustang package. Great man, great mind, great coach. Sad that he has not evolved. Don't get me wrong, he is not the only reason they lost. Just a part of Les Miles strategy to keep us guessing.

I keep thinking what if Tajh Boyd had come to TN & what we as a team would be playing for this year? We could've been SEC East Champs & playing for a NC crown only if our defense was a kick ass team also. :loco:

Great game by Boyd and Chavis. LSU QB just never got off the bus, One yard of offense in the 4th quarter!

The first pass play call was brilliant. it was a completion after all for 8 yards. the second play call was actually a good call, but their QB who could be outplayed by a good middle schooler in Texas or Georgia cost them there. The 3rd down pass call was borderline retarded, and not the good kind like Rain Man.

All in all he batted .333 really. but in a sport he needed to bat .450+

I agree about the first down call.....

but at that point all you need is 3 yards to win a game. Sometimes you just have to go out and execute to gain 3 yards for the win.

also at worst you bleed an aditional 35 seconds off the clock and you make them use a T.O. which makes their final drive almost impossible

Boyd had better coaches and supporting cast at Clemson than he would have had at UT. The guy isn't the miracle worker some of you believe him to be.

Wrong. Look at his Rivals ranking out of HS and what he did in HS and get back to me. This link doesn't cover his state championships or his Senior year.

Tajh Boyd - Yahoo! Sports

Wrong on nine different levels! I'll hang up and listen. :loco:

Chavis was part to blame but Miles' clock management problems finally came back to bite him. That was the reason they lost the game.
