That would be an absolute stud O-line class. I'm not really sure how it could be much better than that. You get Richardson & Clear, who have huge upside, Kerbyson is moving up all the recruiting boards, Posey seems to be a future beast, and Crowder looks like a solid C prospect.

2010- Zach Fulton, JuWuan James, Marques Pair, & James Stone

2011- Cameron Clear (maybe), Mack Crowder, Kyler Kerybson, Alan Posey, and Antonio Richardson (maybe).

That's a sick O-Line right there for the future. In order to win the SEC, you need great O-lines. Dooley & Co. seem to be building an O-Line that can compete for championships. Getting Richardson and Clear would also be huge for recruiting, showing that UT can still get big-time prospects from other programs. I know we are right in it for Richardson, and Clear is considering us mightily. I'm not exactly sure where we stand with Clear, but I know with Richardson it looks like it's going to be Bama and us. Bringing them in would build a great foundation for the offense. Time will tell.

Go Vols! :hi:

We lead for both of these cats. Dooley has done a better job recruiting for the OL than any coach at UT in recent memory.

If we can get a few more DT's pretty soon I will be majorly impresssed. The future is so bright I gotta wear shades.

Dallas Thomas has really matured since a year and a half ago when I talked to him in Destin on springbreak. I'm glad he's got his shot. It looked like he was going to be burried on the charts. One of those Fulmer guys that Kiffin would have screwed. He's athletic as hell and has sized up nicely.

Clear may very well end up playing DT.

Not sure if you saw C Clear at that 7 on 7 tourney or not, but I'd much rather have this guy playing TE for us. Especially in Dooleys TE friendly offense. The guy is a beast and a freakish athlete

What I like (if we add those two to our commits) is that we seem to be locking down all the instate guys that we want. I realize we can't field a team of "TN guys" but we have not done such a great job the last few years in getting the instate players that we wanted. In addition, these are positions of need!

If they get Richardson, Clear and King then I will agree with you.

I agree. I am leaning to Clear being a TE as well in Dooley's system. He pretty much likes to use the TE as a 6th lineman in many of his sets and Clear is absolutely perfect for that.

If he pulls in a top class and gets the prospects that we expect him to get then i shall do this

Great info, especially on Clear and Thomas. Getting Richardson would be huge. I don't care what these guys are rated. UT is addressing a need with solid kids they feel they can develop. I don't think it's a stretch to take 6 OL, especially given what you guys are saying about Clear being TE.

I definitely dont think they need 6 OL in this class. They have too many need areas to take 6 OL. They signed 4 very good ones last year and will get 4-5 this year. Also, it will keep the door open for them getting a couple of big-time OL prospects in next year's class. If they take upwards of 6 OL this year, even if they are marginal, the more difficult it will be to sell to recruits in the '12 and '13 classes. I think the staff knows this and that is why they passed on a guy like Elliot Porter.

it's an exciting concept for sure. it's been years since we've got the best our state has to offer.

Maybe, but if Clear plays TE, 5 is not too many. I don't think CDD should take iffy OL just to fill the roster. However, everything, I mean everything feeds off of line play. Yes, the 4 freshman have lots of potential, but the 3 years before that, very few are still on the roster. Only other position of need as bad as OL is DT. You can't know what OL are going to be out there and gettable the next few years. This seems to be a good year in TN for OL. A bird in the hand...

I agree with this. We already have 3 OL and if we land Richardson and Clear I think we are good. Especially if Clear turns out to be an OL, which would give us 5 in this class.

At some point, he said Dooley is recruiting him as a TE. It would be cool to have 280 lb tight end that could block, run and catch.

For those who love star gazing, dont you think that getting big name RB's, QB's and WR's will become so much easier when DD can say .. Look at the group of lineman weve assembled to make it easier for you to shine. I think so, JMO. Seems to me DD has a plan, and I like it!

Definately need to reel these two in...but honestly Im more worried about our DT and LB positions...We need some solid recruits at that position ( I know we already got a verbal from Carson, but thats not enough) ... We need to concentrate on Richardson, Clear, and G. Wright! And probably need another top notch defensive back (A. Walls, or somebody like that)

Assuming we get all these guys on NSD, this is definitely the strongest collection of young Olineman we've had in a long time.
